Chapter 143 - Framed and Blamed

She spoke telepathically again: "Don't act recklessly, or you won't win my heart."

Ye Tian stared into Bibi Dong's flustered eyes, reaching out to gently touch her slightly warm cheek.

So, even the lofty Pope had moments of fear.

Bibi Dong, uncharacteristically, did not reject him. However, her body visibly stiffened for a moment.

Ye Tian understood that everything must proceed step by step.

Today was his wedding; it wouldn't do to anger Bibi Dong.

He turned around and walked to Hu Liena's side, leaning down to whisper in her ear: "I've searched everywhere and couldn't find it. Is it under your wedding dress?"

"Ah, you've found me out, Brother," Hu Liena pouted.

She handed the red string in her hand to Ye Tian.

"Here, Brother."

Ye Tian took the red string and subconsciously lifted it.

Sure enough, at the end of the red string was a shoe tied to it.

"I didn't even notice," Ye Tian said with a slight hint of surprise.

In truth, the first time he saw Hu Liena, he had already noticed the red string.

But he had thought it was simply part of the bridal traditions and didn't connect it to the missing shoe.

At that moment, the door to the room opened again.

Everyone saw Ye Tian putting a shoe on Hu Liena.

"Miss Nana, you're so lucky," the women in the room said enviously, looking at Hu Liena.

"Yes, indeed."

Thirteen, too, sighed. This scene reminded him of when he was a young man over a decade ago.

Back then, he had someone he deeply loved.

But the tides of time had long separated them.

Thirteen no longer even knew where she was.

"Feeling sentimental. I'm overthinking things," Thirteen chuckled self-deprecatingly.

In the traditions of the Douluo Continent, young people typically married early.

Even though Spirit Masters tended to marry later, Thirteen was already in his thirties.

The woman he loved likely had children of her own by now.

At that moment, Chen Jian, the master of ceremonies, entered the room with a warm smile.

"Young Master, now that you've found the shoe, it's time to carry Miss Nana to the bridal sedan."

"Alright."

Ye Tian lifted Hu Liena in a princess carry and walked out of the room.

Hu Liena blushed deeply, wrapping her arms tightly around Ye Tian's neck and pressing her head firmly against his shoulder.

Two lines of joyous tears rolled down from her eyes.

From this moment onward, she was officially Ye Tian's wife!

Nothing could make her happier.

Holding the person in his arms, Ye Tian's mood was also lightened.

Though he initially had no feelings for Hu Liena, their time together had changed his perspective.

From the depths of his heart, he had silently decided to take care of Hu Liena for a lifetime.

...Starting from today.

Walking out of the dormitory hallway, Ye Tian placed Hu Liena into the bridal sedan.

Chen Jian, as the master of ceremonies, announced:

"Lift the sedan!"

With these two words, the heavy burden in Chen Jian's heart was eased by half.

At least the bride-fetching part of the ceremony had been completed smoothly.

Next would come the wedding banquet and formalities.

These steps all followed established traditions, with even the speeches pre-arranged. From this point on, everything could proceed smoothly.

At that moment, a middle-aged man with a determined expression arrived on horseback from the front of the dormitory.

Ye Tian looked up and saw it was Zhou Long.

Puzzled, he thought: Zhou Long had volunteered to handle security at the farm today, so why was he here at the dormitory?

Zhou Long swiftly dismounted and approached Ye Tian, leaning in to whisper:

"Young Master, a group of uninvited guests has arrived at the farm. At least one of them is a Titled Douluo."

Hearing this, Ye Tian frowned.

He walked over to Bibi Dong and quietly relayed Zhou Long's message before asking, "Are they people from the Spirit Hall?"

"No," Bibi Dong shook her head solemnly.

She had already instructed her subordinates to stay away from the farm.

Even She Long from the Spirit Hall branch in East Sea City had been kept away from the wedding, let alone anyone else.

She raised her head to look at Ye Tian. "Could it be enemies coming to cause trouble?"

Ye Tian nodded in agreement. "That shouldn't be the case."

He couldn't think of any enemies, considering how low-profile he had been.

Just as he finished speaking, a loud noise erupted from the farm's gates.

A voice boomed across the farm:

"Ye Tian! Today is your wedding day. All your guests are here, so why haven't you come out to greet them?"

Recognizing the voice, Ye Tian's pupils shrank.

"Yu Tianheng!"

He hadn't expected that, due to the matter of promoting potatoes, Yu Tianheng would cause trouble for him a second time.

Thirteen clenched his fists in anger. "Such a petty man doesn't deserve to live on this continent!"

"Young Master, just give the order, and I'll take his head!" Zhou Long unsheathed his Tungsten Sword, holding it horizontally across his chest as he awaited Ye Tian's command.

Ye Tian furrowed his brows tightly. If this situation wasn't resolved, his wedding might not proceed smoothly.

Bibi Dong, with her long and elegant legs, stepped behind Ye Tian and asked, "Yu Tianheng? Could it be the one from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan?"

"Yes," Ye Tian nodded slightly.

Bibi Dong's eyes revealed a faint smile.

"The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan ranks among the top ten clans on the continent.

"Unfortunately for them, their opponent is you, Xiao Tian."

"I'll go with you to have a look. But for my sake, spare Yu Tianheng this time."

Bibi Dong's beautiful eyes glimmered with a trace of expectation as she explained:

"Xiao Tian, do you remember the swap policy you mentioned earlier?"

"The Spirit Hall currently requires a chaotic environment."

"And Yu Tianheng is the perfect catalyst to disrupt the entire continent."

"A living Yu Tianheng is far more valuable than a dead one."

Hearing this, Ye Tian was momentarily confused but quickly pieced everything together.

Reflecting on the recent series of events, he realized that to destabilize the continent, the best move was to frame Yu Tianheng for the assassination of Qian Renxue.

If Yu Tianheng remained alive, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan would surely deny their involvement in the assassination.

However, as long as Qian Renxue and Ning Fengzhi testified before Emperor Xue Ye that Yu Tianheng was responsible, the situation would spiral into chaos.

On the other hand, if Yu Tianheng were dead, the framing would lose credibility.

At the very least, Ning Fengzhi wouldn't go along with it.

Understanding all this, Ye Tian did not refuse Bibi Dong's suggestion.

"Alright, I'll spare him this time."

Before Ye Tian and the others could head to the farm's gates, Yu Tianheng and his uncle Yu Yuancheng, along with other experts from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, arrived at the farm.

Fortunately, most of the farm workers were attending the wedding in Butterfly Valley, so no casualties occurred.

Yu Tianheng, with disdain in his eyes, glanced at the bridal sedan before turning to Ye Tian with a smirk.

"Brother Ye, it's not very kind of you to hold a wedding without inviting me."
