A radiant blue box suddenly materialized in Aeos's right hand. Its shimmering aura pulsed with an ethereal energy.
"This is the Box of Time," Aeos announced, her voice echoing with authority. "Let's keep the rules simple!"
As she spoke, the timeline scrolls stored on the towering bookshelves around her vibrated violently before flying off their shelves. Each scroll emitted a faint glow, filling the room with a kaleidoscope of colors. Aeos opened the Box of Time, and the scrolls disintegrated into shimmering purple particles, flowing like a river into the box. Once the last particle entered, the box sealed itself with an audible click.
Chronoa gritted her teeth, her frustration evident. her clenched fists trembled as she glared at Aeos.
"All the timeline scrolls are now secured here!" Aeos declared, her tone unyielding. She snapped her fingers, and in an instant, the grandeur of the palace dissolved around them. They reappeared in an open courtyard under a crimson-tinged sky.
Chronoa surveyed her surroundings warily before raising her hand. her energy flickered, golden sparks crackling around her. "After this battle, if you still dare to hinder me, I won't hold back!"
Aeos smirked, her eyes narrowing. "We'll see about that." She opened her arms wide, and a ring of purple light materialized beneath her feet. The light spiraled upward, forming a massive column that engulfed her. Her body lifted from the ground, suspended mid-air as rocks and debris around her began to levitate, caught in the surge of her energy.
"Liberation!" she roared.
In a blinding flash, Aeos underwent a transformation. Her short hair extended into long flowing locks, and her frame grew larger and more imposing. A shimmering purple halo of time appeared behind her, radiating a powerful aura.
Chronoa raised an eyebrow, her golden aura intensifying. "Oh? Then I'll respond in kind." Golden Ki burst from her body, and her short hair lengthened, cascading down her shoulders. Her body expanded with divine energy, and a brilliant golden halo of time manifested behind her. "But understand this—I'm not here to fight. I'm here to stop you!"
Aeos tilted her head, smirking. "That's your problem, Chronoa. You talk, but your resolve wavers. My conclusion has remained the same for millennia. The extra timelines must be eradicated. Only one will survive!"
With a swift motion, Aeos raised her right hand. The purple halo behind her began to shift, turning into a deep, vivid blue, and it expanded massively. She pointed her index finger forward, summoning a concentrated burst of purple energy.
"Judgment of Time!" she bellowed.
The energy wave surged from her finger like a serpentine dragon, aimed directly at Chronoa. Without hesitation, Chronoa extended both hands, summoning a protective barrier. The wave crashed against her shield with immense force.
"Listen to me!" Chronoa shouted over the roaring energy. "I understand the danger posed by the proliferation of timelines. But unlike you, I believe in the possibilities these timelines hold. That belief is my strength!"
Gritting her teeth, Aeos pushed harder, the purple energy growing denser and more ferocious. "Then let this strength of yours withstand the weight of my judgment!"
The energy dragon exploded against Chronoa's shield, sending her hurtling toward the ground. A deafening boom echoed as she crashed, a plume of black smoke rising from the impact.
Aeos descended, her feet touching the scorched earth. "Stay down. This ends now," she said coldly. Raising her finger, she began forming another orb of energy. "Freeze!"
Before the attack could be unleashed, two figures appeared in a brilliant flash of light. It was Gohan and Goten, their expressions resolute.
"Are you okay?" Gohan asked as he rushed to Chronoa's side.
Chronoa chuckled weakly. "Fine might be a stretch," she said, wincing. "But I'll survive."
Aeos turned her attention to the newcomers, her expression intrigued. "Ah, so you two must be the fabled 'possibilities.' Interesting."
Goten stepped forward. "Lord Kaioshin, we can't let you destroy the other timelines!"
"And why not?" Aeos asked, a smirk playing on her lips. "Don't you have the resolve to secure victory at all costs?"
"It's not about victory," Goten replied firmly. "If you destroy the timelines, both mortals and gods will perish. As a mortal, I can't stand by and let that happen!"
Aeos chuckled softly. "You're a fascinating mortal, Goten, but your reasoning isn't enough to sway me. I have a mission to complete." She raised her hand again, forming another wave of energy. "Freeze!"
As the purple wave shot forward, Goten's body shifted. He entered Ultra Instinct, his movements flowing like water. In an instant, he reappeared behind Aeos.
Aeos spun, her elbow striking backward in a blur. Goten caught her attack effortlessly, his hand gripping her elbow like iron. "Such speed," Aeos muttered, her eyes narrowing. "Is this some secret technique of yours?"
Goten smiled but remained silent.
Aeos growled, leaping back into the air. She fired a barrage of purple energy blasts, but Goten dodged with ease, weaving through the attacks like a phantom. "I've had enough of your games!" Goten declared, appearing beside her in a flash. His elbow struck her back with devastating force.
Aeos screamed, her body plummeting to the ground. Before she could recover, a massive fireball descended from the sky, heading straight for Chronoa. Gohan prepared to intervene, but Goten acted first, scooping Chronoa into his arms and whisking her away in a blur of motion.
The fireball crashed into the ground, unleashing a blinding explosion. Its light illuminated the battlefield, visible even to Vegeta and the others fighting in the distance.
As the smoke cleared, a figure emerged—a man with blue-green skin and fiery red hair. He wore an elegant blue suit and wielded a staff crowned with a glowing crystal. His aura exuded menace and power.
Aeos's eyes widened. "You…" she whispered.
