"Really?" Fu said, smirking. "Let's see if you have the ability to stop me!"
As his words echoed, two figures appeared in the sky. The newcomers were Darles and Slug, characters from the Dragon Ball movies.
"Darles!" Xeno Goku exclaimed, his expression darkening.
"Long time no see, Goku," Darles said with a grin, his tone mockingly friendly.
"Vegeta, let's handle this!" Xeno Goku called to his partner.
Xeno Vegeta nodded, launching himself toward Slug without hesitation, while Xeno Goku charged at Darles. The sky exploded with energy as the battles commenced.
Fu watched the chaos unfold before turning his gaze to Goten. The strength of Time Patrol Trunks didn't concern him, but Goten was a different story. Goten's power was intimidating, and Fu knew he couldn't take him lightly. Still, he had accounted for this possibility in his plans.
"Fu," Goten said calmly. "We meet again."
"Yes, we do," Fu replied, his tone equally composed.
Before he could say more, a black bird appeared beside him. Its eyes glowed yellow, with a distinct cross shape at their center.
Time Patrol Trunks' eyes narrowed. "That bird…"
Fu remained silent, his smile widening with malice.
Suddenly, time froze around them. Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta, and everyone else found themselves unable to move.
"My body… I can't move!" Trunks growled, straining against the invisible force.
Fu chuckled, a golden whip materializing in his right hand. He swung it toward Tokitoki, the Time Bird.
"Time Bird!" Pan from the Time Patrol shouted, her voice filled with panic as she struggled against the paralysis.
In a flash, Goten appeared before Tokitoki, catching the whip in his hand.
"What?!" Fu exclaimed, his confidence wavering. "How… how are you still able to move?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" Goten replied, smirking.
With a roar, Goten's Ki surged, silver energy enveloping him as he transformed into Super Saiyan 5.
"So, you plan to fight me?" Fu sneered. "Let's see just how strong you really are."
Fu's body turned into a streak of purple light as he rushed toward Goten. In response, Goten stomped the ground, launching himself forward at incredible speed.
The two clashed mid-air, their fists and kicks moving faster than light.
Bang! Goten's right fist connected with Fu's abdomen, sending him hurtling into a nearby mountain. The impact triggered an explosion of dust and debris.
As the dust settled, the paralysis holding the Time Patrol vanished.
"You can move now?" Xeno Goku asked, flexing his fingers.
Xeno Vegeta nodded, transforming into Super Saiyan. Xeno Goku followed suit, his golden aura flaring.
From the mountain's rubble, Fu emerged, gritting his teeth in frustration. "This isn't over!"
Before he could act, Goten appeared in front of him, his right hand glowing with a purple Hakai sphere.
"Destroy," Goten said softly.
The sphere of destruction expanded, enveloping Fu as he let out a final scream. His body disintegrated into purple particles, fading into the void of space.
"No!" Fu's voice echoed, filled with anger and despair. Though the Tree of the Universe continued to grow, absorbing energy from the cosmos, Fu—the architect of this plan—had been destroyed.
After Fu's demise, Goten turned his attention to the black bird hovering nearby. Its resemblance to a crow confirmed that it was the "bird of doom" the prophecy fish had mentioned. Fu's deception had caused Beerus and the others to mistake Tokitoki for this bird.
Raising his hand, Goten murmured, "Seal of Time."
A golden circular pattern appeared in the sky. Chains of silver light erupted from it, wrapping around the bird and pulling it into the glowing seal. As the seal vanished, so did the bird.
The Time Patrol watched in awe but refrained from questioning Goten's actions.
"Trunks," Goten said, turning to his companion. "Let's move on. We'll leave this cleanup to Uncle Vegeta and the others."
"Understood," Trunks replied.
With Pan and Tokitoki in tow, Goten and Trunks moved forward. Soon, they arrived in a strange realm filled with floating candy-like objects.
"What is this place?" Time Patrol Trunks asked, his tone wary.
"It looks like Janemba's dimension," Goten replied, his expression serious.
"Janemba?" Trunks echoed.
Before Goten could answer, a dark figure emerged. It was Janemba, but his appearance had changed. His armor, once pink, was now a dark blue-black. Spikes jutted from his shoulders, and his wrists and ankles were encased in shiny black guards.
Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta arrived just in time to witness the transformation.
"Janemba!" Xeno Goku growled. Despite the changes, he recognized the demon instantly. The last time they fought, it had taken fusion to defeat him.
Janemba let out an eerie laugh and rushed at Goten, moving with blinding speed.
Goten roared, transforming into Super Saiyan 5 as he charged at Janemba. The two met in a violent clash, their punches and kicks shaking the dimension.
Bang! Goten's fist connected with Janemba's face, sending him flying. The demon slowed himself mid-air, glaring at Goten with renewed fury.
