POV Rio
I looked over the battle reports. There was quite a heavy loss on all sides. We managed to wipe out the Empire's forces at Endor, even their reinforcements. But the Rebel Alliance had only 11 ships and a few starfighters. We lost all of our captured ships as well as 8 Venators, 3 Munificents, 5 Harrowers, 3 Arquitens, 2 Consular, and the Chimaera. Further, the Grand Herald has recieved heavy damage and will be out of commission for several weeks. Other than the Grand Herald, 3 Venators and 2 Providences will need extensive repairs. We only have 25 Trifighters, 2 N-1s, and my Arwing.
'At least we didn't lose any crew as the emergency teleportation beacons worked as intended. We even saved some of the pilots.'
The Rebel Alliance's fleet was barely functional. Of the 11 ships, only 3 were capable of entering hyperspace. And most of the ships were liable to break apart at any moment. They also suffered heavy casualties on the ground. The alliance I made with the Ewoks was for their assistance in guiding the rebels, but they were to stay out of the fight.
'It wasn't their fight, and if anything, they should be trying to avoid getting involved with the Rebel Alliance. They will only disappoint you if you count on them.'
Despite my alliance with the Rebels, I had no delusions of thinking they could form an efficient government. I honestly believed that they would make a carbon copy of the previous Republic, which was riddled with issues. I offered to transport the Rebel fleet to the secret planet I told them about, but they are still not confident about leaving this sector behind.
'I can't blame them. The galaxy has already dissolved into chaos. Numerous warlords are appearing and trying to take as much territory as possible now that Palpatine is confirmed dead. And news of the second attack on Coruscant was released with many thinking it was an internal Imperial dispute.'
We used only Imperial ships, walkers, tanks, and equipment during the battle. And since B-1s were sent into my inventory, there were only the bodies of Imperial left behind. Of course, I did so on purpose as I can control what does or does not go into my inventory automatically. Other than the Core and Commonwealth regions, the rest of the galaxy is a mess. With the New Republic not even fully formed and yet unable to fight, they will have to retreat until they are ready.
'If I had to guess, then their fleet will be out of commission for up to 4 months. That is fine since I believe we won't be attacking Bastion for a while.'
The battle on Coruscant was a diversion, as we needed the Empire preoccupied while we captured the Lusankya and hopefully Ysanne Isard. I had already captured her father and used Drain Knowledge on him. I had actually captured a lot of Imperial officials. I used the trial as an opportunity to massively increase my Intelligence Stat. So anyone with low karma that was easy enough to get to was used. I did it to every Sith on Kesh who didn't meet the karma requirement. The biggest gain I got was from Zeta Magnus and his several hundred clones.
'He was definitely a genius and knew more than most likely anyone else in the galaxy. A shame he was such a truly evil and nasty person.'
Zeta was a monster. Plain and simple. He had no moral boundaries. Women, Children, the Elderly, the pregnant, and the sick- nothing was off limits for his experiments. He made Stalin look like a saint in comparison.
'I am not even certain why Palpatine would ever work with that monster. I mean, I know Palpatine is evil, but I can think of many villains and supervillains that would sooner kill Zeta than work with him. Well, I mean, maybe the Joker would work with him, but that doesn't mean much; he is insane. Whatever now where was I?'
I had already ordered that the Forward Unto Dawn start the operation. It would fire its MAC from several systems away. One shot could destroy most Defense Platforms. Except Golan-IIIs they were on par with an Imperial-I or Imperial-II. The design of MAC can only fire twice a day without causing damage to the weapon, so it would take a long time, but while it is doing so, Palpatine will be unable to stop it.
'I mean if I was in his shoes I wouldn't be able to do anything given the resources he has. It can attack from beyond any ship's range and from any angle. The attacks will happen at random intervals, so there is no pattern. In other words, he is trapped with no way out.'
Which works for us. Other than harassing Bastion, we have other plans. General Kalani was reprogrammed by myself to lead the ground forces of the Commonwealth, and now Thrawn was on a mission to convince the candidate for the leader of the navy. The candidate was chosen once we confirmed that they were still alive. We chose this universe's Grand Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn assured me that if he is like this version, then he has no loyalty to Palpatine and is only interested in making a strong galaxy to defend against the Vong.
'I am not sure if we should try and get some ships from Thrawn. The Empire of the Hand is loyal to Thrawn first and Palpatine second. So they might be willing to fight Palpatine at Bastion.'
Another ally we obtained recently was Mara Jade. We contacted her quite some time ago and gave her all the evidence of why her loyalty to Palpatine was misplaced. But it was only recently that she left his service. The main reason is that Palaptine has been bombarding her mind with messages. By the time she got to us, she was a mess and barely coherent. She failed to deliver the holocron, so Palpatine was understandably angry. But his actions only drove her away. Now, Palpatine had no more Force-Sensitive allies.
'Well, I suppose that isn't fully true. He has that insane clone of Joruus C'baoth. But Palpatine and he are both crazy due to the broken cloning program they are using.'
I had time to talk with Luke, and he agreed that the Jedi Order would not be rebuilt. Mind you, I had to get Anakin, Yoda, Obi-Wan, and several others to pitch in to convince Luke. I also made a deal with the Force not to do what it did thousands of years ago and gather Force Sensitives from across the galaxy. In exchange, I had to help deal with a lot of problems. The only one I didn't have to deal with personally was the Yuuzhan Vong. I just had to make sure the galaxy was ready for the invasion. I did use Anakin to complete a lot of those tasks, but I figured it was only right.
'Now what else needs to be done before we leave the trial?'
I looked down my list and saw that almost everything had been accomplished. The Sa Nalaor still needed to be captured, and the Droideka Mark II's needed to be scrubbed from all data banks before we took them. I also needed to go loot Greivous's base. It had somehow not been discovered up until now.
'It is quite odd that none of these had been found and looted yet. I guess it must be due to Imperial Corruption. Some officers would just mark a location as destroyed and then pocket the materials needed to destroy it. Or take over the facility and use it for their own purposes.'
There were some prisoners that I needed to go use Drain Knowledge on. Even though the gains were minimal with most beings after I used it on all of Zeta's clones, I still did so as I would gain a stat point here and there. That, and I gained a sizeable amount from Kamino when I went and dealt with them. Only 5 were left alive as they had decent karma values. By the time I got to Kamino, it was a mess. Only 2 cities were left, and most of the population had died or was killed by the Empire. Palpatine used them for his cloning project but then silenced them. Then, they rebelled and were further exterminated. Then cloning became illegal, so they lost their main source of income. So, by the time I arrived, there were maybe 50k Kaminoans left. I felt bad for them, but at the same time, they were eugenics practicing supremacists, so there was only so much pity. After I deal with the prisoners, I would go resolve those other issues before someone else managed to find them.
'Though it is very unlikely that anyone would discover either the Sa Nalaor or Greivous's lair. I can see the Droideka Mark II's being discovered, but without the factory, it isn't possible to reproduce them. At least not with the technology level of most of the galaxy right now.'
Palpatine had used anti-droid sentiment to get to where he is today, so obviously, droid technology had taken a large step back. Suddenly, I froze when I remembered a certain droid from a long time ago. I had totally forgotten to see if he was where all of those fanfics said he was. I took out the Palantir and searched for the droid I was looking for.
'Wow, it is still around. It isn't where the stories often suggest, but it is still great that I found him. I will need to tweak his programming before I turn him on, as I do not need the galaxy's best assassin droid causing issues for me. Even if he is technically harmless to me.'
The droid I found was on Geonosis.
