Seeing the change in the dinning hall, my elder brother called out to me and my sister.
"Come, Kyle, I got something to show you, and the same goes for you too, Kira," Cleo said, throwing my sister on his shoulder while urging me to keep up.
Draco POV
"Is it okay, son, Finish your meal, Draven. It's unusual seeing as you came without prior notice while intruding on my breakfast. I hope there is a logical explanation for this," I said, knowing he wouldn't act without reason. After all, he's my private knight.
"Greetings, Lady Sil," he said before turning to me.
"Greetings, My Lord. Sorry for intruding while you are having a meal with Lady Sil, but the five Royal knights have called for a meeting, requesting all 13th of the council of elders to be present," Draven reported.
"Hm, it's unusual, but it has to be important if all the elders are being summoned. Okay, let's go, Draven," I said with a sigh.
Kyle POV
As soon as he finished saying that, he stood up and walked two steps, and what followed next was an afterimage of him leaving. My eye still can't keep up with him. Noticing my gaze and the look that followed after, Sir Draven somehow knew what was going on in my mind.
"Don't worry, young Kyle. Don't beat yourself up. You still have a long way to go before your eyes can keep up with your father's quick steps. Even I will have a hard time keeping up with him if he's serious," he smiled before leaving the same way my father did. I still couldn't follow him with my eyes.
"Show off," he said all those just to repeat the same thing.
I heard a laugh, and looking back, it was my mom.
"Sir Draven isn't just like your regular knight, brother. There are reasons why Father made Sir Draven his private knight," my brother Cleo said.
"Indeed, your brother is right. You can't blame him, son. After all, he is one of the best knights in the vampire continent. Even I respect his strength," she said while walking away, making me have a newfound respect for Sir Draven.
"You guys should leave for school before you get late," my mother's voice echoed from where she was.
My little sister was the first to stand up while we followed suit. She knows how protective we are of her, especially my father. This led to her getting in a lot of trouble, but that does not mean she doesn't know how to control herself. Soon we arrived at the academy gate.
"Little sister, remember to stay out of trouble. Not that you are going to anyway, but at least control yourself, 'cause you always end up putting Kyle in trouble, leading him to get involved with bullies," Cleo warned.
"Okay, but no promises," she said, heading inside while smiling.
"Hmm, this is going to be another long day," I said, preparing for whatever today has in store for me. Unlike my brother, he's a genius, and even his contracted familiar is a 7-star Ocean Lion, earning him a place among the academy's 15 genius ranks.
"Don't think about it too much, little brother. I'm sure you will contract yours tomorrow, and it's going to be powerful. After all, it keeps refusing to surface, which shows how strong it is. I believe in you, Kyle," he said, placing his hand on my shoulder, giving me a boost of confidence.
"Okay, let's go in," he said, pushing me ahead.
