Soviet architecture had a significant influence on modern Chinese architecture, especially during the first Five-Year Plan when a large number of Soviet experts came to China to assist with development.

It was also from that time that a large number of Soviet-style buildings began to emerge all over the country, some of which have been preserved to this day.

Of course, the term Soviet-style architecture itself is quite broad and doesn't have a very clear definition, containing many factions, and the expression of the style often differed from one period to another.

However, the vast majority of Soviet-style buildings were deeply influenced by constructivism, advocating for simple forms, clear structures, bold imaginations, abstract design, and innovative concepts to reconstruct the world and serve reality.

They were often tasked with the political function of showcasing achievements and summoning followers.
