"Why don't you rage???"
The roaring voice paid no regard to Liu Zheng's response, or perhaps it didn't approve, and questioned again.
This time the voice came from above his head, as if mountains were collapsing and peaks tumbling down.
"To not rage is simply to not rage. You've asked me for so long, now let me ask you."
Liu Zheng straightened his spine, speaking with a calm face.
"Can life have regrets?"
He asked loudly, tilting his head up.
His shout, compared to the punitive roar, was naturally insignificant.
But the moment he shouted, the mountain of sound waves made up of the descent halted.
"Yes."
After a brief silence, the roar replied.
"Can life have grievances?"
Liu Zheng continued to ask.
"Yes."
"Can life have hatred?"
"Yes."
"Then why do you not rage?"
He spoke softly and gently, but the roar above his head shattered in response, plunging the space into a stillness akin to death.
In this deathly quiet, heavy and slow footsteps suddenly echoed.
