Yue Feng's broken branch was fresh, about as thick as the chopsticks we normally use for eating. Due to frequent rainfall and ample sunlight in the rainforest, trees grow relatively quickly and have less dense, tender branches, which are not too tough.
Even so, the piranha's bite was frightening enough. If it had bitten a child's delicate finger, it might not have been much stronger.
