~Ella's POV~
I paced back and forth in my living room, my heart pounding as I tried Zara's number for the tenth time. Still nothing.
Damn it.
Just as I was about to throw my phone against the couch in frustration, a firm knock sounded at my door. I rushed over, unlocking it quickly.
Richard stood there, his tall frame filling the doorway, his expression tense but controlled.
"You got here fast," I muttered, stepping aside to let him in.
"You sounded like you were about to do something reckless," he said, shutting the door behind him. "And I was right, wasn't I?"
I exhaled sharply. "I can't just sit here, Richard. Zara is missing, and if Snow is right about Vera, then she's in serious danger."
Richard nodded, stepping further into the room. "I know. That's why I came." He turned to face me fully, his dark eyes sharp. "Tell me everything."
