From the council headquarters, the Mayfair's returned home to change or grab some things and then everyone spread out in different directions to attend to other matters. Phoebe and her group went straight to the cafe because they had work. They used the back entrance and checked on the ongoing renovations first which were moving along smoothly.
"If the builders keep up this speed, they will be done before winter comes to an end." Grandma Mayfair commented, her smile full of pride. She could not wait to use the bigger and modern kitchen where she could finally have her own working station.
As much as she liked cooking with ghosts, accidents from all the floating food and ingredients were unavoidable every day.
After making sure that everything was up to par, they got to work. The cafe was packed as usual, it was around 11:00am in the morning, perfect time for brunch or second breakfast as everyone in the cafe liked to call it.
