Chapter 220 - Chapter 220 - Hey

"I see it… a golden rain…" Kurama watched the scene before him with a dazed look, as if he were witnessing a dream come true.

The sunlight at this moment looked just like golden rain, shining down on the two as they stood together.

Nice! Naruto x Hinata fans win!

Kurama had a smug "just as planned" expression.

Naruto looked at the shy Hinata in front of him, feeling his face heat up. He had completely forgotten to close the door and just scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Hinata, thank you."

Hinata lowered her head even more, her voice getting softer. "Please don't say 'thank you'… This is something I should do."

Don't say thank you? Naruto paused for a moment. Then, as if something clicked in his brain, he blurted out without thinking, "Then I'll be counting on you from now on."

Hinata froze on the spot.

Wait… Naruto suddenly realized—did that sound a bit… wrong?

Kurama looked stunned. "Wasn't that… a bit too straightforward?"

Visibly, Hinata's whole face turned red, like a ripe apple, incredibly tempting. But what shocked Kurama even more was that—Hinata didn't faint?

Naruto tried to play it off with a goofy smile.

But Hinata, instead of passing out, lowered her head and, looking like she was about to, gently nodded. "Mm… mm."

Just then, a breeze blew past the house, slipping in through the gap in the door. It lifted Hinata's long hair, making it shimmer like a waterfall reflecting starlight—a silver river flowing down from the heavens.

So dazzling.

The wind nudged the door shut, leaving just the two of them standing in the small house, facing each other.

Feeling a bit shy, Naruto rubbed his cheek and smiled. "Let's clean up together. Then we can go out for dinner. There's probably no food at home. After that, let's go see a movie. I think *Princess of Wind and Snow* is showing around this time. I'm the lead actor, you know."

As he said this, he couldn't help but look a little proud.

But he didn't notice the stiffness that briefly flashed across Hinata's face.

Kurama noticed it, and his smile gradually became mischievous.

There's definitely a story here. If not, I'll… Wait, do they even have Gear Fifth in this world? Never mind.

After thinking for a moment, Hinata nodded slightly. If it was just a movie, she probably wouldn't run into that woman again. Yeah, it should be fine.

Kurama couldn't wait to use his Six Paths power to send the news to Sasuke, then immediately told Sasuke to bring Jiraiya and Tsunade along. After that, he eagerly had Sasuke inform Kakashi and Sakura too.

Just thinking about it made Kurama tremble all over.

I can't wait, Naruto Uzumaki!

---

At the cinema, Naruto and Hinata walked in side by side. In the shadows behind them, several familiar figures crouched. Jiraiya rubbed his hands together, looking excited. "So, do you think that girl will snap and beat Naruto up?"

"No way, that's not Hinata's personality," Sakura was the first to shake her head.

"Agreed." Sasuke leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. "With Hinata's personality, she'll most likely stay silent. She might even turn around and comfort Naruto, telling him not to take it to heart."

"And what's fun about that?" Tsunade looked disappointed.

"Fifth Hokage, it seems you don't get it~" Sasuke smirked. "What we're here for is Naruto's reaction when Hinata looks at him with that expression."

Because everyone knew Hinata wouldn't blame Naruto. But Naruto's personality…

Now that's going to be a show.

Hehehe~

Kakashi stared blankly at the four people in front of him—one was the highly respected Fifth Hokage, another was one of the legendary Sannin, then there was the ever-cold Uchiha, and… well, this last one seemed normal.

He looked up at the sky. "I'm actually starting to look forward to this."

Kakashi? Normal? Where do you see that?

"Not gonna lie, Kakashi is right," Jiraiya said with a shameless grin.

"+1," Sasuke nodded.

"Same," Sakura agreed.

Tsunade: "…"

Why do I suddenly not understand what they're saying after hanging out with Naruto?

Are they making me look dumb on purpose?

The five of them, fully prepared, quietly followed Naruto and Hinata into the cinema. Since they were still in the village, Naruto wasn't constantly using his sensory abilities, so he had no idea that five troublemakers were tailing him.

The Byakugan wouldn't help either. The Hyuga clan wasn't banned from using it in the village, but there were restrictions. If a Hyuga used the Byakugan too freely, Anbu would take them away on the spot.

All in all…

The movie was pretty good. The director really knew what he was doing. Originally, the main characters who accompanied the princess had their roles cut down so much that they felt like background extras. Meanwhile, Naruto, Sasuke, and Jiraiya somehow ended up with a lot more screen time.

The three of them met the princess at the beginning and set off on their journey together. The director also included some footage of them having fun, which gave the film a slice-of-life feel. However, some of the dialogue didn't match Naruto's memories, probably because the production team found voice actors who sounded just like them.

Naruto became the male lead, the princess was the female lead, and Sasuke was the second male lead. Doto Kazahana was edited to appear as a powerful boss introduced much later, while Nadare Roga became the main antagonist.

Jiraiya was portrayed as a powerful master who, for some reason, never made a move easily. Throughout the film, he was either drinking alone under the moonlight, looking melancholic, or watching Naruto and Sasuke with a face full of approval. The editing was on another level.

The story was adapted from real events, using everyone's real names. It had highs and lows, a proper beginning and end, and a balance of everyday moments and action. The final battle between Naruto and Doto Kazahana, paired with the original dialogue left unchanged by the director, was just... something else.

Especially when Naruto said, "What matters to me isn't the Land of Snow, it's Koyuki Kazahana." That line sent chills down his spine.

When he originally said it in battle, he didn't mean anything by it. But after going through the hands of that "skilled" director, the whole story took on a completely different tone.

How should he put it? It was like watching a classic tale of a hero and a princess—starting with them disliking each other, then gradually understanding one another, and finally being willing to sacrifice their lives for each other. The emotional progression was so smooth, it felt completely natural.

And when the colorful Rasengan appeared, the story, accompanied by the background music, reached an all-time high. The entire theater erupted in excitement.

After all… the three protagonists on screen were people they all knew.

Naruto needed no introduction. Sasuke was the only Uchiha in Konohagakure. And Jiraiya—he was one of the legendary Sannin!

In the end, the movie concluded with Naruto collapsing from exhaustion and Koyuki Kazahana taking over the Land of Snow, following a classic royal ending.

As the credits rolled, Naruto slumped in his seat, completely dumbfounded.

Why did I bring Hinata to this movie?

Hinata had her head lowered, making it impossible to see her expression. But for some reason, Naruto felt like he needed to explain himself.

"Hinata, that was just a movie. The lines were dubbed. That wasn't my voice."

"Mm." Hinata could tell. She lifted her head, looking at Naruto with clear, innocent eyes. "Then… was that line—'What matters to me isn't the Land of Snow, it's Koyuki Kazahana'—also dubbed?"

She really wanted to hear the answer "yes."

Naruto: "..."

Why did I bring Hinata to this movie?!

With a serious face, Naruto said, "Listen, I can explain—"

But just as he was about to, the credits suddenly disappeared, and a new scene appeared on screen. The audience members who had been ready to leave paused and turned back to look at the big screen.

It was a bright room. Naruto, exhausted from battle, lay unconscious on a bed. Koyuki Kazahana sat beside him, gazing at him with eyes full of warmth.

Soft light filtered through the window curtains, casting a hazy glow over them, making the already unforgettable scene feel even more dreamlike.

As the light gently swayed and the curtains fluttered, Koyuki's pure, untainted voice rang out.

"You were right. Weakness and retreat always go hand in hand. I got used to being weak, so I got used to running away in the face of strength."

"But you told me… that because I am weak, I must become strong. Because I am weak, I must keep moving forward."

"People who believe in miracles are already as amazing as miracles themselves. But I don't believe in miracles—I believe in you."

"I love you, my warrior."

Because of poor audio recording, her voice was a little hoarse. But that slight roughness added the perfect finishing touch to the quiet, tender scene.

And then, the scene of Koyuki Kazahana leaning down to gently kiss Naruto on the cheek played on the screen.

The image paused on that kiss for a moment. Then, as the ending song played, the rest of the movie unfolded, and everyone watching had a satisfied look on their faces.

What a great movie.

Naruto: "..."

Why did I bring Hinata to watch this movie…? (crying inside)

Wait, what was that scene just now? I don't remember that happening at all!

No wonder Kurama and Sasuke were so eager for me to bring Hinata along. You two… you two…

You two are really my best friends, huh!

Hinata sat there quietly, her head lowered. In the already dark theater, her expression was even harder to see.

Naruto, his face twisted in distress, wanted to say something but couldn't get a single word out.

Kurama, say something!

Kurama: "Fight! Fight!"

Naruto: "..."

You better shut up.
