[Beelzebub] A Teacher Incredible life at Ishiyama High School
Chapter 02: Aoi Kunieda is intrigued...
-Aoi Kunieda-
There is no way this person was good, as Kunieda thought when she first met Shinji Ryuga as her homeroom teacher at Ishiyama.
Many people knew about this school's infamous reputation, so Kunieda was baffled when she first learned about Ryuga Shinji, who willingly joined the teaching staff when many of his predecessors fled the school without looking back. She thought Ryuga Shinji would be rude or even a creep like the other boys at Ishiyama.
Yet, the more she interacted with Ryuga, her initial opinion of him dramatically changed.
Ryuga Shinji might be the most decent and reliable man she has ever met since high school. Her opinion about her sensei changed, especially after what happened this morning during math class, where he effortlessly dealt with some disruptive students.
Ryuga sensei was teaching math as usual in front of the classroom until some students decided to be jerks and annoying, which ultimately disrupted the classroom. They had enough of learning math, so they started making ruckus or harassing other students, especially girls.
It was simply impossible to learn in this kind of environment.
Aoi also had enough of their rubbish attitude as she slammed her desk and stood up from her chair. However, she was still unaware of Ryuga-sensei's real strength at that time. Unfortunately for her, Ryuga-sensei was the first to make the first move as he efficiently dealt with them before she could do something about it.
"Arghh!"
"Guh hah!"
"Ah ahhh!"
One by one, Aoi saw these naughty students flying in the air as they crashed into the classroom wall because of Ryuga. Aoi was speechless, with her mouth agape. It was a pure massacre, as they stood no chance, and at this moment, she knew that Ryuga-sensei wasn't weak but a powerful man.
"…Aoi, you can sit back down on your chair. We shall return to our book." Said Ryuga as he continued to read the math book.
"…Yes, Ryuga-sensei," muttered Aoi as she stared at his back for an unknown time. She wondered how powerful he was and if she could fight against him. This simple show of strength by Ryuga reminded her of her grandpa.
It was also because of this incident that Ryuga's reputation spread like wildfire inside the school, as more and more students knew about their new teacher. The girls were easily swooned by their handsome yet powerful teacher, while the boys scoffed, believing it was just a rumour fabricated by the girls. Because of this, Ryuga-sensei's week was filled with boys who wanted to challenge him in a fight. And let's say that Ryuga was less than happy.
Additionally, Aoi also heard about Nene's crush on Ryuga-sensei. She heard it from Yuka, who was up-to-date on every gossip in Ishiyama. She still had no idea how she created her gossip network to this day. Anyway, Aoi had no idea how to feel about her second-in-command having a crush on their teacher and if she should encourage it, but…
Fighting Nene! I believe in you!
(You can do it)

It was not all she saw from Ryuga.
She saw another incident about Ryuga at school yesterday. While walking down the stairs, she saw Ryuga carrying ten students on his shoulder and wandering around the floor. Aoi was visibly baffled by this scene, as she had never witnessed something similar to it in her life. Admittedly, she became easily curious about this, so she decided to follow Ryuga quietly to learn more about it.
After several minutes of slight stalking, Aoi found Ryuga encountering four more students. She saw them talking briefly, with the delinquents shouting and becoming irritated. Aoi was curious about their conversation, but unfortunately, she was too far away to hear anything. Then, the four students suddenly decided to attack Ryuga. Unfortunately for them, even though he was occupied with ten students on his shoulders, Ryuga easily defeated the four students. Aoi was in awe but became even more confused when she saw him already collecting those four bodies on top of the ten bodies.
Aoi continued following him from behind when Ryuga suddenly stopped in his steps.
"Aoi, you don't have to continue following me. You can return to your classroom." Said Ryuga as he walked away without hearing her answer, leaving Aoi in a blushing mess as she patted her hot face.
"Yes…" squeaked Aoi as she quickly ran away from the scene, feeling thoroughly embarrassed by this experience. She didn't expect Ryuga to detect her. In contrast, she wasn't the best in hiding. She still received some training from her grandfather. She should ask for more training for her grandfather, as she didn't want to experience the same shame again.
Later that day, Aoi finally understood why Ryuga was hunting and collecting students from her friend Yuka. She learned that he was chasing after students who skipped the class he was in charge of. Ryuga spent the entire period chasing after them, and Aoi could only respect his dedication as a teacher.
Moreover, she also heard that it wasn't the first time he had hunted them. Aoi silently cheered for Ryuga in her heart. It was rare to see a teacher like him around the school.

Another day, when Aoi walked around the school, she saw a fight between two students. Both of them were wielding a bat as they fought hard. Aoi wasn't surprised since this was a typical everyday scene at Ishiyama High School. It would hardly be the last one, so Aoi decided to walk through it and ignore it. Typically, it would be dangerous to walk during a fight, but who was Aoi? She was the leader of the Red Tail and a powerful swordsman. Naturally, this kind of small fight never entered her eyes as she could easily wipe them to the floor.
CLANK
Aoi looked at the sudden sound and saw that one of the students during the fight missed and swung his bat directly toward the window. Obviously, the window couldn't withstand the impact of the bat and was smashed into pieces.
However, the next scene that happened just after wholly scared her.
"Fucking kids…"
A low voice resonating throughout the hallway sent shivers through everyone's spine, including Aoi.
Aoi didn't know when, but Ryuga was suddenly standing behind the two students, holding the offender's bat in one hand. She saw a very angry Ryuga behind those students. "What the fuck are you guys doing?!" growled Ryuga with bloodthirsty eyes.
One of the students was so shocked by Ryuga's sudden appearance that he swung his bat in retaliation, using all of his strength to strike Ryuga.
Unfortunately for him...
The bat flew out of the broken window, needless to say, because of Ryuga. She then saw him staring at the cowering students.
"I won't forgive anyone who dares destroy the school property…!"
"I'M SORRY SENSEI!"
"PLEASE FORGIVE THIS YOUNG FOOL!" shouted both students as they immediately kneeled on the ground into a perfect legendary dogeza.
At this moment, every student knew Ryuga would relentlessly pursue anyone who dared harm the school building. Many swore he possessed a sixth sense for detecting them, seemingly knowing precisely when to hunt down students.

-Shinji Ryuga-
It has been a week since I started my first shift at Ishiyama, and honestly, it was exhausting. I never expected the need to hunt every student to my classes, and even more so when I now have to teach every single year and subject at this school. I don't know how it was possible, but I somehow made it work. Fortunately, this shitty old man gave me an increase in my salary, as my pay became decent at the very least. I was currently reviewing stacks of math homework to correct for the first year. I also try my best not to give homework because I'll be the one stuck in grading them. I certainly do not want to do even more work after school.
Yet, this homework was crucial since the exams were coming soon, and I needed to know how bad they were. I'm only hoping for them to get a passing grade on their exams, and anything beyond that would only be pure madness for these delinquents.
As I graded the papers like an automated machine, I momentarily stopped when I picked up the following homework.

-Aoi Kunieda-
Hmm….
How can I say…
She is an interesting girl, that's for sure. I heard from various students that this girl was powerful. Then again, it is expected that the current leader of the Red Tail was strong. This name brings back so many memories… especially of her. I never expected this group to survive after the first generation, yet it was a pleasant surprise.
I wonder how she is now… She should be in college, yes?
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
The knocking sound of the door suddenly broke my thoughts. I wonder who was visiting this place during lunchtime. "The door is open," I said, looking up at the door with slight confusion. I don't think I was waiting for anyone at this time. I waited as the door opened slightly and was surprised to see the visitors. I didn't expect to see them today or at this time either. If their bright expression was anything to go by, the Red Tail came to visit me and not someone else.
"Excuse for the intrusion…" said Aoi Kunieda, who entered the faculty room with the rest of her group.
"Hello, everyone. I didn't expect to see you girls visiting me. Is there something I can do for you?" I asked, feeling rather curious about the purpose of their visit. The girls smiled at me as they pushed someone from the middle of their group, holding something in her arm.
She seemed rather shy if the blushing on her cheeks and the fidgeting were anything to go by.
Hmmm… What was her name again?
Nene Omori, yes?
"Nene? What can I help you with?" I asked, eyeing the box in her hands.
"This..! I made a bento for you! I noticed how you're always tired or busy. I just wanted to show my... appreciation!" Nene stammered, her cheeks flushing as she twirled a lock of hair.
I was taken aback by the unexpected gesture, but before I could respond, my stomach rumbled loudly, earning amused smirks from the girls around us. It seemed I couldn't refuse Nene's bento now, not that I would have declined anyway, knowing the effort she had put into it. Giving Nene a gentle smile as she avoided my gaze, I remarked, "Well, I certainly didn't anticipate this from one of my students. Thank you for making this bento for me, Nene." I graciously accepted the bento, and Nene's face lit up with delight as I took it from her.
When I opened the bento, I was pleasantly surprised by its contents. It was a classic bento, yet it smelled absolutely delightful. Inside was cooked rice, several pieces of delicious-looking teriyaki chicken, and stir-fried vegetables. To top it off, there was a beautifully rolled omelette.
Overall, it looked absolutely fantastic. I didn't expect one of my students to be this good at cooking.
"Itadakimasu," I said before eating. Then I picked up the chopsticks and tried the chicken. My eyes widened slightly as the chicken tasted delicious, like its appearance. I immediately started to eat the rest of the bento with fervour.
It took me a few minutes to finish the bento as I patted my stomach.
"Thank you for the food…" I sighed in delight with my eyes closed. I truly needed that after grading homework nonstop. Nene quickly picked up the empty bento box with an adorable smile.
BOOM
"WHO DARE TO FIGHT ME?"
"PUSSY!"
"AHHHH, I'LL KILL YOU!"
My happy mood immediately collapsed when I heard the commotion outside and noticed the girls nervously shuffling around me. Taking a deep breath, I stood up from my chair.
"Sorry, girls, but I have to step out and take care of some naughty kids," I apologized, bowing slightly. They waved off my concern with understanding smiles. Then I turned to Nene, who became shy when she saw me looking at her. Approaching her, I rubbed her head with a smirk.
Nene immediately froze as the other girls buzzed with excitement.
"Thank you for the food, Nene," I said.
BOOM
"Ahhhhh SPARTA!"
I clenched my fist, hoping it was the ground, not the school wall.

-Aoi Kunieda-
"Fucking idiots…" muttered Ryuga as he quickly left the faculty room, leaving them behind. At the same time, Yuka and Chiaki immediately surrounded the frozen Nene.
"You did it, Nene! Ryuga loved your food! You're making more progress than those other shameless girls!" Yuka exclaimed, hugging Nene tightly.
Chiaki nodded enthusiastically. "Doki, Doki, love!" she added, making a heart sign.
With a soft "poof," Nene passed out from happiness in Yuka's arms.
"Ah, she passed out...," Aoi remarked wryly. She was happy for Nene. "We should probably take her to the infirmary."
