Wen Wen didn't let him finish but instead directly dragged it into the Sanctuary, as continuing the interrogation was pointless.
The Hateful Demon Monster was the embodiment of the hate from 'Heaven Stone', and under such intense hatred, it was impossible for it to reveal the method to save the townspeople. Continuing to question it would have been in vain, so by capturing it in the Sanctuary, half of the incident was resolved.
