Situated in the northeast corner of the first layer of the Underground World, the passage to the surface world was in the Northern Territory; needless to say, Ivan didn't need to take a detour. He only needed to travel a distance into the Northern Territory before returning through the passage.
Throughout his journey, Ivan deliberately avoided beings and places that could provoke conflict, traveling smoothly with the wind at his back.
Only when passing through the magma layer was he unable to avoid a few exchanges with the Molten Lord.
