Xinhua Road, known as the "No. 1 Garden Road of Modu," stretches from Huaihai Road West towards Yan'an West Road in the east.
Spanning just over 2000 meters, under the intertwined branches and leaves of the plane trees, it feels as though the road is paved with tales of legends and stories.
Walking along this road, you can see hundreds of garden houses in varied styles scattered around, along with numerous historic buildings silently standing, marked by years.
The architectural styles here are diverse, ranging from the modern and luxurious Art Deco, to the solemn and elegant Neoclassicism; from the mysterious and religiously colored Gothic Revival, to the richly pastoral British countryside style.
