Chapter 1: Rebirth and what the fuck?
---
Darkness. Infinite, unyielding darkness.
Noah floated in the abyss, weightless and oddly calm.
He had no clue how he got here, but his first thought wasn't panic, but a joke.
'Did I die? Or did I just black out after drinking too much?'
No, that didn't make sense. He didn't remember drinking. Hell, he didn't remember anything about his past other then his name, the rest was all blank, and not gon lie, shit spooky for real. However there was some memories of… anime, manhwa, and novels?.
…Huh.
Before he could question it further, a golden light flickered in the distance. It expanded, growing brighter until it formed a human figure—no, a divine one.
A woman stepped forward, her presence radiating warmth. She was beyond beautiful—long, silken silver-gold hair, celestial robes that shimmered like the stars, and deep violet eyes that held an otherworldly grace. She was elegance personified.
Noah blinked. Alright, either I'm in heaven, or I just unlocked the secret ending of an anime dating sim.
The woman smiled gently. "Welcome, Noah."
Her voice was soft yet commanding, divine yet kind.
"Uh, hey," he said, rubbing the back of his head. "So… am I died?"
"Sadly yes," she answered. "However you have been given a chance for reincarnation."
I see. So I am dead.
'haaa....forget it we keep moving forward as Eren said'. He then focused up and activated
Isekai protocol.
Noah immediately straightened. "Right. Mysterious void, beautiful goddess, reincarnation talk. Let me guess, I get three wishes?"
The goddess chuckled. "You are quick to adapt. Yes, you shall be granted three wishes. And before you ask, no, you do not need to use a wish to choose your world of choice. You may select it freely."
Noah grinned. 'Now we're talking.'
He didn't hesitate for a second. "First wish—I want world travel. The ability to jump between different anime, manhwa, and novel worlds at will."
The goddess—Astraia, as she soon introduced herself—nodded. "Granted."
Noah continued, excitement bubbling slowly."Second wish—I want an ability that grows infinitely stronger over time, it also makes the skills I have stronger with it."
"A power with no limits? Quite the demand." Astraia's lips curved into a knowing smile. "Granted."
Noah smirked.
"For my third wish," he said, "I want a system. No cap, no limitations, and limitless SP."
Astraia raised an eyebrow. "A limitless system with no restrictions? You truly have ambitious desires."
"Go big or go home," Noah quipped.
The goddess giggled. "Very well. Granted."
A rush of power surged through him, though he couldn't feel its full effects yet. Still, he knew—he was now stupidly broken.
"Now then," Astraia said. "Which world shall you reincarnate into?"
Noah grinned. "I pick Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles. I wanna relax a little(he doesn't btw), and get to know my skills, so I feel like that world is good enough. Also this shouldn't be much, but can you make my age 8-9?."
Astraia nodded. "Sure that won't be much. And your preferred location?"
Noah nodded as thanks, and with no hesitation he answered. "Seirei no Tami. You know, that beautiful, mystical place from the anime?"
"A good choice," Astraia mused. "Then, may you find joy in your new life, Noah. We may meet again."
Her divine aura flickered, and before he could say anything—
Light consumed him.
"I like that boy fufu. He is also quite pleasing to the eye's I must say~" with a small smile, Astraia also disappeared.
---
Noah's eyes fluttered open. The first thing he felt? Cold as fuck.
The second thing? The distinct stench of piss, shit, rotten food, and despair.
Noah slowly sat up, blinking at his surroundings. Crumbling buildings. Muddy streets. Ragged people barely surviving.
His mind screeched to a halt.
…This isn't a mystical forest.
THIS IS THE FUCKING GODDAMN SLUMS.
Silence filled his head for a solid five seconds before—
"OH, COME ON!!"
Several people nearby jolted, startled by his sudden outburst.
Noah groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Astraia, you beautiful, divine, wonderful troll… what the actual fuck?"
He wasn't in a serene forest with spirits. He was in Bertram Kingdom's shitty back alley of despair.
I asked for paradise. But I fucking got the sight of death.
Taking a deep breath, he muttered, "Okay me, Think. Maybe this is some 'fate must guide you' bullshit."
Either way, he was here now. Gotta adapt and not cry like an annoying baby.
As he pushed himself up, voices caught his ear, kiddish voice at that, his gaze looked at the end of the alley not so far from him. A group of kids gathered a few feet away, eyeing him warily. Among them, one boy stood out—hobo looking dark hair, sharp black eyes, and a calm yet intense aura.
Noah instantly recognized him.
Haruto. Or Rio to be exact.
The main protagonist of Seirei Gensouki.
And if he's still in the slums, that means canon hasn't started yet.
Noah's mouth twitched into a grinning manner. "I guess that "fate" bullshit is kicking in." He muttered under his breath.
Noah stretched his limbs, then popped his neck. "Yo."
Rio blinked, as did the other kids. A scrappy-looking boy sneered. "Who the hell are you?"
Noah smirked, before answering. "Your dad."
The kid flinched. "Wha—?!"
Rio let out a soft chuckle before quickly masking it. The other kids, however, were less amused.
"Think your funny huh, you looking for a fight?" the scrappy kid growled.
Noah shrugged. "Not really. But if you wanna run the fade, I won't stop you. Just don't cry when I make you eat the piss, and shit on the floor."
The kid hesitated. Something about Noah's confidence screamed "dangerous asshole".
Before things escalated, rio stepped forward. "Ignore them," he said. "You're new here, aren't you?"
Noah nodded. "Yep arrived today. Name's Noah."
Rio studied him for a moment before nodding. "Rio."
Noah grinned. "Rio huh, Cool. Well it Looks like we're stuck in this shithole together."
Rio blinked, then let out a small, genuine laugh. "Yeah. Guess so."
And just like that, a new friendship was steady being formed.
Noah had no idea when canon will kick off, but he didn't worry about it for now, he just arrived so he wanted to chill for a bit.
However, noah didn't know how things would unfold, but one thing was clear in his head—
He wasn't going to play by the rules of fate.
Do what he wants.
Live how he wants.
He was going to live on his terms.
And if anyone pissed him off or got in his way?
Well… he would love to test how breakable people were.
---
The slums of Bertram Kingdom were exactly as depressing as Noah expected. Crumbling buildings, ragged people barely scraping by, and an overwhelming stench of poverty and misery.
"Great. First day in another world, and I'm already living the DLC "Hard Mode: Homeless Edition.""Noah muttered.
Still, complaining wouldn't change shit. He had fuck knows how long until canon began, which was normally bad and meant he needed a plan.
But first he needed to survive in this death of stench place.
So he came up with this—
Step one: Don't die. Well duhh
Step two: Profit. Daddy needs money.
Step three: Saitama training. Without the boldness.
And maybe somewhere in between those, figure out why the hell Astraia dropped him here instead of the forest of spirits. That divine little troll probably did this on purpose. For herself amusement.
He sighed and glanced at rio, who was watching him with curiosity.
Noah asked."if your tryna sus out if I'm gay, to bad holmie I don't swing that way"
Rio blinked ten time's in a second, shocked at what Noah just said. "W-what, no dude I was just wondering if you got anywhere to stay?"
Noah smirked. "Oh I see, my bad dude. And yeah I do actually It's this amazing place called 'the floor.' Great ventilation, five-star discomfort."
Haruto chuckled. "So In other words, no."
"Yep, pretty much."
Haruto looked at him thoughtful before nodding. " Then you can stay with us for now. I live in an abandoned house with a few others. It's not much, but it's better than a floor right."
Noah grinned. Placing his hand on rios shoulders, he said. "Rio, my guy, I think this is the start of a beautiful friendship."
Haruto shook his head with a small smile. "Yeah I can already imagine Noah, come on."
---
The house was… well, calling it a house was generous. More like a barely-standing shack. But hey, at least it had a roof.
Inside were a few other kids, he counted six, they all looked around rio's age. All the kid's were cautious around Noah, but one kid—the same little punk from earlier—was glaring at him.
Noah eyed him out, then he smirked. 'Ahh, an idiot. Perfect.'
"You again," the kid sneered. "You think you're hot shit, huh?"
Noah sighed dramatically. "No, no, my dear background character, I'm not hot shit—I'm boiling lava. Get it right ass whip."
The kid's face turned red. "You fuc—!"
Rio quickly stepped in. "Enough. Noah's staying with us. If you don't like it, deal with it."
The kid huffed but backed down.
Noah smirked. 'Yeah, that's right. Know your place, NPC.'
---
After his glorious introduction to the other kid's, Noah soon found his third problem already.
Food. A simple thing. A necessary thing right. However it was a completely non-existent thing in this shack.
Noah groaned, flopping on the floor like paper. "Alright, question. How the hell do you guys survive?"
Rio leaned against the wall. "We scavenge, sometimes steal. It's not easy, but we manage."
Noah rolled his eyes, and clicked his tongue. "Yeah, that's not gonna work for me. I like food. I need food. I refuse to live the 'tragic orphan starving in the streets' lifestyle."
Hearing that, Rio raised an eyebrow. "And what do you plan to do?"
Noah grinned. "Oh, you'll see my dear friend ."
Let's start step two: Acquire daddy some Money.
---
The next day, Noah wandered the slums, scanning the area for something. Was he actually gonna go begging? Fuck no, I mean with his looks it wouldn't be hard, he was a little tall for his age and he was as handsome as the devil himself. Maybe more then him though.
Then was he going on a stealing spree? Tempting, but too much work maybe in the near future. Instead, he was doing something slightly under "stealing spree", well call it "scum scam's scums".
Soon he finally found what it was he came for, A group of thugs running a gambling racket.
Noah strolled up with the confidence of a man who couldn't lose.
"Hey, boys," he greeted. "I'd like to donate some money to your cause. By 'donate,' I mean take it from you legally through gambling."
The thugs snickered. "You got cash, kid?"
Noah pulled out a single coin. "Just one. But don't worry—I won't be needing more."
The game was simple: dice rolling. A Luck-based game. Or at least, that's what they thought.
With a thought, he activated his system.
Noah smirked. 'System, let's put you to use shall wee~'
[Passive Skill Acquired: Probability Manipulation]
'Oh, this is gonna be fun. For me at least'. Noah snickered.
---
Five minutes later, Noah walked away with a full bag of coins, while the thugs sat there questioning their life choices, and how the fuck they lost to a kid.
Step two: Aquire daddy some money: Complete.
Step three: Feed the People's belly's (Mostly mine though).
Noah returned to the shack, tossing the bag of coins smoothly into rio's hand.
"Go buy food," he said. "And get something good. None of that 'barely edible slum ration' garbage."
He would go himself, but he doesn't know where and he's just to lazy to go.
Rio seeing the bag of coins, frowned. "Where did you—"
However before he could finish, he got shut down real quick.
"Don't ask questions you don't want the answers to."
Rio gave him a long look before shaking his head and heading out.
Noah flooped on the floor, and closed his eyes, whistling a beautiful tone.
---
An hour later, Rio came back with actual food. Fresh bread, meat, even some fruit. The kids practically inhaled it, greedily.
Noah grinned. All the kid's thanked him, he felt a ting of pride. 'Yeah, that's right. Who's the best big brother figure? Heh.'
Rio sat next to him, silently watching the kid's happily eat there food, the sight was fuzzy even for noah. "I don't know how you pulled this off, but thanks."
Noah gave him a long side-eye, before he smirked. "What can I say? I'm a real generous guy."
After a while, Rio went to go help the kid's who finished clean, then sat with the kid's still eating.
With food secured, Noah leaned back, and started to think.
There was how many day's until canon start's, and Noah wasn't gonna sit back and get trampled on by the so called strong people.
He had no intention of being a side character in this story, or a extra nor a stepping stone for whoever.
---
End.
