Chapter 43 - Chapter 21 - In the Wake of the Storm

The deep silence of the night was broken only by the sound of waves gently lapping against the hull of the ship. The sky was clear, the full moon casting its silver light across the vast ocean like a beacon on the horizon. Throk, Neptune, and Spink were aboard the ship borrowed from Namiros, sailing cautiously through the calm waters. The trio had a mission: to attempt to recreate the phenomenon that had launched Midoki skyward during the maritime accident.

Throk stood firm on the deck, eyes fixed on the horizon. The usually calm warrior was visibly restless.

- Throk: "We need a massive amount of energy, something extraordinary. We can't just sit around waiting for a miracle."

Neptune, always thoughtful and sharp-eyed, nodded.

- Neptune: "This is something that only happens once a month," he explained. "It's a rare phenomenon—a convergence of nature's forces and the ocean itself. Replicating it won't be easy, even with all our power. We'll need another approach."

As they spoke, Spink—the small, agile Pukain rabbit who had joined them—remained silent, perched on one of the masts, watching the horizon and the starry sky. Her mind raced, working through possibilities. It was a daunting task, but she knew she could help. And as the conversation between Throk and Neptune continued, she drifted into her own thoughts, a spark of determination growing within her.

Roughly 45 minutes passed. Spink finally stood, her expression lit up by a sudden idea that flashed through her mind like lightning.

- Spink: "I know what to do," she declared, eyes gleaming as she descended the mast with graceful agility. "If we want to recreate a similar phenomenon, we need to manipulate both the ocean's forces and the earth itself—simultaneously."

Throk and Neptune turned to the rabbit, intrigued and curious.

- Spink: "We need a water vortex and a massive submerged force strong enough to launch the ship upward," Spink explained. "I can use my Speedstorm ability to create a vortex around the ship. I'll run over the surface of the water at high speed until the sea begins to spiral. That'll generate the force needed to form a funnel. And then… I'll use Thundercrash to strike the ocean floor with a quake-like impact."

Neptune raised an eyebrow.

- Neptune: "Are you sure that could work? That kind of energy is immense... I've never seen anyone manipulate the ocean like that."

- Spink: "Trust me," she replied with a confident smile. "If there's even a chance to recreate that phenomenon, I'll do whatever it takes."

Throk nodded, his trust in the little Pukain renewed. He knew her power was incredible, but her boldness in attempting such a colossal feat continued to surprise him.

- Throk: "Let's trust her," he said, arms crossed. "We have no other choice."

Filled with determination, Spink leapt from the ship's deck, landing gracefully on the calm water. Her light feet barely touched the surface, and in a blink, she began to run—her legs moving at incredible speed, nearly reaching the speed of light. The ocean seemed to respond to her presence, the waves stirring and forming whirlpools and storms as she circled the ship.

The water began to rise under her command. Small whirlpools formed beneath her feet, gradually increasing in strength. The once calm sea now started spinning around the vessel, creating a vortex that drew air and water into a growing funnel. The sound of the churning water echoed through the night sky.

Neptune held tight to the mast, eyes wide as he watched the scene unfold.

- Neptune: "She's actually doing it," he murmured, amazed. The power radiating from Spink was something rare—a blend of speed, precision, and absolute control over the elements.

As the vortex intensified, Spink leapt into the air, landing gracefully atop the ship's mast. Her determined gaze now turned toward the ocean depths below. She knew the next step was critical.

- Spink: "Now… Thundercrash!" she shouted, her voice ringing out across the waves. Her hands lit with intense electric energy as she focused all her power. In an instant, she dove from the mast toward the water at blinding speed, crashing into the surface and unleashing a surge of electricity so powerful that the sea trembled in response.

The electricity raced downward, sending a shockwave deep into the ocean floor. A massive tremor cracked the earth beneath the waves, forming a huge crater. The impact reverberated upward, sending a seismic jolt back to the surface.

At that moment, the vortex Spink had created met the force of Thundercrash, and the resulting energy was immense. Namiros' ship, now caught in the roaring whirlpool, was suddenly pulled upward. The waters surged in a towering column, launching the vessel skyward in a dizzying ascent.

Throk and Neptune gripped the ship tightly as it rose with the swirling waters, propelled into the air. The roar of water around them was deafening, but their eyes remained fixed on the horizon, where they hoped to find the answers they so desperately sought.

Spink, breathless but smiling with satisfaction, watched the result of her plan. She had done the impossible—recreated the phenomenon they needed. The ship was now airborne, wrapped in the fury of sea and storm, chasing its uncertain destiny.

- Spink: "Now, we can move forward!"

The ship, bathed in moonlight and the colossal energy of the vortex, was about to plunge back into the sea, heading into the next chapter of their journey. The fate of Elyra remained unknown, but with this new hope, Throk, Neptune, and Spink felt closer to uncovering the mystery.

The journey of the Templars continued—and the sea, always filled with secrets, would not give up its answers easily.
