Yan Lei roared and charged first, his glaive shimmering with the brilliance of Second-Order Qi Refinement. Behind him, three more Yan warriors surged forth, blades raised high.
From the opposing side, Yin Kai stepped forward, his twin crescent blades spinning like silver death, slicing through the air with deadly elegance.
Steel clashed. Sparks flew. The battlefield erupted into chaos.
Yan Rui's blade locked against Yang Mei's twin sabers. Her gaze was cold and deadly. He spun using the Yan Clan's Ghostly Step Sutra, but Yang Mei followed seamlessly, Yan Rui blades leaving trails of sinister Yin Qi.
To the left, Yan Baifeng parried a swing from Yin Daiyun's mighty war hammer—only to be harassed from the flank by Yang Wusheng's hidden flying daggers.
With a sudden cry, Yang Mei released a burst of True Qi, sending her opponent flying like a rag doll. Before the dust settled, Yan Li jumped in to take her place.
The battlefield became a swirling maelstrom of blades, Qi techniques, and flashing colors. Fiery red Yang and chilling cool Yin energy of the YinYang dynasty clashed of the with the malevolent Yin energy of the Yan clan, forming a spectacle of power..
At the rear, Yan Feitian stood still.
He hadn't moved.
His arms were crossed, his eyes like an ancient glacier—calm, detached, indifferent. As though this chaos had nothing to do with him.
But across the field, Yang Wei watched him like a hawk.
Another body flew.
Yan Baifeng crashed into the ground with a dull thud. His consciousness faded. Yin Daiyun's brute strength, coupled with Wusheng's relentless attacks, had overwhelmed him.
Two Yan Clan warriors down.
Only Feitian, Lei, and Li remained.
Yang Wei narrowed his eyes. He had waited long enough.
With a flick of his hand, three crimson flashes of light erupted.
The first eliminated Yan Lei instantly. The second struck Yan Li with precision, sending him flying unconscious. The third beam aimed straight for Feitian.
Boom!
The light exploded against Feitian's body, launching him backward. Blood sprayed into the air.
The crowd gasped.
But then—he rose.
Though his armor was scratched and blood dripped from his lips, his spine remained straight. His eyes, still cold.
A deafening cheer exploded from the stands. The dynasty's victory felt close.
Yan Rouxi's fingers tightened, her expression stiff. Had she miscalculated?
The arena now faced a shocking scene: a one versus five.
Five of the Yin-Yang Dynasty's top youths... against one Feitian.
He stood alone.
Unmoving.
Unshaken.
Then... Yin Daiyun charged forward. His war hammer thundered down like a mountain.
Feitian casually stepped aside, grabbed the man's wrist, yanking him closer to a palm strick that struck Yin Daiyun's chest squarly.
A single palm nothing more.
Yin Daiyun skidded across the battlefield, coughing blood.
Yin Kai and Yang Mei moved in tandem, attacking from both flanks. Their blades shimmered with dark light.
Feitian spun, deflected one, kicked the other back. Flawless.
Yang Wusheng unleashed a rain of flying daggers—but Feitian raised his hand. A surge of True Qi exploded, scattering them mid-air, deflecting there tragectory.
Then their eyes met.
A strange glow flickered in Feitian's pupils. A mysterious amnesty hue.
Wusheng froze. His eyes glazed over. He collapsed—eliminated.
"Feitian!!" Yang Wei roared and fired a blazing arc of Yang Qi.
Boom!
It struck Feitian directly, sending him skidding across the field.
Blood splattered.
The crowd went dead silent.
But—he stood again.
Bruised. Bloodied.
But alive.
Even stronger than before.
Yang Wei's eyes trembled. He knew—that strike should've ended him.
Feitian wiped the blood from his mouth, then smirked. "Powerful... But is that really the best the Yin-Yang Dynasty has to offer?"
The crowd was stunned.
Feitian cracked his neck. "Alright. I'm done playing."
Yin Kai, desperate, surged forward with everything he had. His blades radiated Yin energy powered by True Qi. He slashed—
Feitian parried, stepped behind him, grabbed his hair, flipped him in mid-air—and struck his abdomen with a vicious knee kick.
*Crack!*
Kai hit the ground hard. Bones broke. Still, he rose.
"Tenacious, aren't you?" Feitian sneered.
"Drop dead," he whispered with bone chilling coldness.
His eyes lit with that strange amnesty hue once again.
Suddenly, his remaining four opponents froze.
Their bodies trembled.
Their knees buckled.
Only Yang Wei remained standing—barely.
"Kneel," Feitian commanded.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Four figures dropped to their knees, as if crushed under a mountain.
Yin Kai coughed blood violently. The pressure aggravated his injuries.
Among the audience, Yin Feiyu's eyes turned red. She longed to rush in, but Yan Rouxi's hawk like gaze froze watched her closely, ready to intervene and restrain her if she made a move.
Elsewhere, amidst the sea of crowds a figure wearing a conical hat—Lu Huo Gui—narrowed his eyes.
Feitian walked toward the kneeling group, voice calm. "Tsk. Only this Wei guy has some backbone."
Suddenly—Boom!
Daiyun shot up, smashing his war hammer into Feitian's.
Shock rippled across the battlefield.
Feitian stumbled back, face twisted in surprise. "You—!"
He responded with a powerful True Qi palm strike, sending Daiyun crashing across the arena wall again. Bone-breaking sounds followed.
"You devil's spawn!!" Yang Wei howled, breaking free of the pressure.
He charged—only for Feitian to grab him by the neck.
"You think a minor realm advantage makes you stronger than me?"
Amnesty Qi surged violently into Wei's body. His orifices bled.
He went limp.
Feitian threw him aside like a rag doll.
"No, you're wrong." Yan Feitian said as Yang Wei hit the floor.
Yin Kai and Yang Mei soon followed dropping unconscious.
One by one, the dynasty's pride fell.
They had lost.
The Yan Clan… had won.
Feitian stood alone in the center, surrounded by unconscious bodies.
The crowd was stunned.
Cheers erupted from the Yan Clan. Cries of victory echoed.
But the rest of the crowd felt nothing but dread.
Half the city would now belong to the Yan Clan. The future was grim.
Amidst the cheers, Yan Clan members turned their eyes toward their matriarch.
She had done the impossible.
Even Yan Zhen remained silent, as though lost in thought.
Yan Rouxi walked to the center, smiling beside Feitian.
"Jiang," she said with a cackle, "according to our agreement, you must hand over half the city. Or will you dishonor yourself like you did years ago, when you wronged our grand matriarch?"
She squinted her eyes as she scanned the crowd.
"Oh, and where's that little brat who caused your downfall? Rumor says she's crippled. What a pity. Do you regret it now, Jiang?"
Yang Jiang stepped forward slowly.
"Your words mean nothing to me. I have never regretted anything, not even when I left you all those years ago."
"YANG JIANG!!!" Yan Rouxi suddenly shrieked. Her outburst stunned even herself.
Her voice had come not just from her—but instinctively, Yan Youmie's memories had been triggered by that statement. It seems that Yan Youmie's feeling for Yang Jiang ran deep.
Rouxi narrowed her eyes.
"Fine. I'll make your dynasty suffer. Starting now. And this time—no one will save you."
Suddenly cute laughter interrupted.
"Villainous woman, you bluff because the one has already Arriven." This voice was loud and audible and it also sounded like the voice of a young lady less than fifteen.
Turning to the source of the voice everyone was stunned, a beautiful young lass with her hair spilt between black and white walked into the arena facing Yan Rouxi and Feitian with a half smile,
The crowd stunned in unison as gasps rang out.
"LU XITONG!!"
