Chapter 29 - Aftermath

I woke up somepoint later, laying on the couch of the common room, feeling better than I had earlier. I didn't feel like my bones were being broken and then reset over and over again. I didn't feel like my head was being stabbed over and over again. I didn't feel like I was being burned at an inhumanely high tempature. The light above me suddenly disappeared, and my vision was blurry with sleep for a minute before I could see what had happened. Bakugo was leaning over me with that signature scowl on his face, giving me an upside view so it almost looked like he was smiling. But I knew better. The kid didn't smile a whole lot. He probably didn't even know what a smile was. Maybe it just wasn't in his dictionary. "Look at that. Dumdass decided to wake up." Bakugo remarked, his scowl deepening. "I'm assuming everything's been taken care of now?" I ask, my voice calm, a bit rough from my grogginess. "Yeah yeah, everything's fine. You better be feeling better cause it was a hell of a struggle to help you, brat." I roll my eyes, daring to reach up and push his face away from mine, then sat myself up carefully. "I'm fine." I said, though I still felt weak. This feeling usually lasted for a little while after I woke up, sometimes accompanied by a headache, slight dizziness, or a churning stomach. The third was what I felt now. But no one needed to-"Kenji." A stern, gruff, low voice cut through my thoughts, and I knew who it was, even before I looked up at him. Aizawa stood there, in front of the couch in front of me, his arms crossed, a serious, stoic, stern look on his face. His lips were pulled into a flat line, but a muscle feathered in his jaw, leading me to believe that he wasn't exactly calm. "Sensei." I greeted with a nod of my head. I would've stood, but I still felt a bit weak. And I'd rather not fall flat on my face, thank you very much. "We need to talk."
