Like a bombshell, the information hit Arthur hard. Even when he was already anticipating it, he was still completely stunned. The word 'God' alone made his heart stop and his eyes widen as they slowly moved to look at the old chains again.
His entire perspective of these old chains had shifted completely with that simple fact. It was truly fascinating how simply knowing more could change one's perspective.
"A God is under our feet…" Arthur muttered those words back.
For the boy, the word 'God' had always been linked with an omnipotent being, a being that can transcend all logic and break all realities. He wasn't particularly religious even in his upbringing, but Arthur understood the importance of the existence of a God in many people's minds.
