If Naruto knew what Sasuke was thinking, he would have responsibly told him: it's not just that.
That pose just now was learned from Minato in the anime waving a hand to transfer a Tailed Beast Bomb while his cloak fluttered behind him. That was the aesthetic Naruto strived for, but today's outfit just didn't match the vibe.
The main reason, however, was that Naruto himself wasn't sure if he was reminiscing about the childhood thrill of blowing up cow dung with firecrackers, which led him to instinctively dump the Tailed Beast Bomb into the hazardous waste section of Kamui's dimension.
Technically, this classification wasn't wrong any undetonated Tailed Beast Bomb was indeed hazardous waste.
The problem was that the four compartments in Kamui's dimension weren't that far apart. Naruto's carefully built trash station was instantly obliterated, sending all sorts of strange debris flying into Kamui's space.
One of his Shadow Clones inside was blown to bits on the spot, and the rest were left fuming.
Constantly pranking the main body, only to be pranked back when would this cycle of revenge end? The clone lamented, "This will never end."
Returning grievances in kind was an honored tradition of the Uzumaki clan. Even against the main body, no mercy was given. After this battle, the clones swore that Naruto had better not use the Shadow Clone Jutsu again otherwise, he would pay dearly!
Naruto's face was looking particularly grim, but the one with an even darker expression was Obito, who had been about to discuss matters with Orochimaru.
As the rightful owner of Kamui's dimension, Obito had full control over it Kakashi merely had a spare key, while the blonde brats were nothing more than trespassing burglars.
Even though those blonde intruders had taken over his space, Obito still retained a few privileges, such as being able to monitor what happened inside without entering himself.
Obito thought he had already built a strong tolerance for Naruto's antics, but at this moment, as he witnessed the catastrophic explosion inside his dimension, he found himself struggling to keep his blood pressure in check.
Meanwhile, Orochimaru had just used a summoning jutsu to call forth a grotesque blue-skinned, amphibious creature. This was his contingency plan for protecting Guren he valued her as a capable subordinate and couldn't afford to lose her carelessly.
As Guren crawled out from Tam's mouth, Orochimaru noticed the masked man's emotional shift and turned to ask her, "What happened?"
Guren recounted the sequence of events, emphasizing how their enemies remained unfazed by the Tailed Beast Bomb.
Obito listened closely and immediately guessed what had happened Pain must have deflected the attack, and Naruto, following Minato's example, had thrown it into Kamui's space. After all, Obito had personally witnessed Minato do the same thing years ago.
So they fight, and I'm the one who suffers for it? Obito was even more frustrated now.
"Those who can capture Tailed Beasts wouldn't be so easily overwhelmed by such attacks you were too hasty, Guren," Orochimaru critiqued. Their enemies wouldn't fall so easily. Even he, Orochimaru, had the Triple Rashomon to block such attacks, and if that failed, he could always die and revive. Their leader, however, had the Rinnegan.
Guren lowered her head in shame. "Yes, Lord Orochimaru. The test subjects I brought were all wiped out. Please punish me."
Orochimaru was unfazed. "They were of little value anyway. No need to worry. You may withdraw."
"Understood." Guren left the room with Tam.
Orochimaru then turned his amused gaze toward the masked man. "Now then, what brings you here? Are you here to reprimand me for not participating in Akatsuki's operations on time?"
Obito, having steadied himself, replied, "Of course not. In fact, it was in my interest that you didn't go. Even I only sent a substitute."
"Interesting." Orochimaru licked his lips. "So you have other plans."
Obito continued, "You attacked Konoha before, so you should have an idea of their strength. With our current forces, the probability of capturing the Nine-Tails is exceedingly low. To ensure the success of the Eye of the Moon Plan, we need additional preparations. Sacrificing some pawns is acceptable."
"Such a ruthless perspective," Orochimaru commented. His interest in Obito waned upon hearing the mention of the Eye of the Moon Plan.
He had initially thought Obito might be pragmatic enough to abandon such an unrealistic goal, but apparently, he was just another fool chasing a dream.
Before Orochimaru could ask further, Obito took out two scrolls and opened one. "Release."
A row of corpses appeared on the ground. Obito wasn't fond of transporting things this way, but his personal storage space had been sealed. No, he couldn't dwell on that thinking about it only made him angrier. Soon… soon, he would personally kill that damn blond brat!
Orochimaru's eyes widened in surprise. "These… are all famous figures."
As he spoke, one of the corpses, supposedly Killer Bee's, suddenly dissolved into ink.
"Oh? The Eight-Tails Jinchūriki?" Orochimaru smirked. "Did Akatsuki only manage to capture a clone?"
"Did he use an ink clone to swap out before being sealed? Impossible. The Eight-Tails was clearly extracted Jinchūriki should die from that. How did he pull this off?" Obito was completely baffled.
"No matter," Orochimaru dismissed the concern. "Process these bodies as I specified. Our previous agreement still stands, except now you're dealing with me directly. In truth, it was always me handling things from the start."
"As long as I get what I want, I don't care who I deal with." Orochimaru looked down at the corpses and added, "By the way, the materials you provided last time were quite fascinating. Do you have more?"
Obito had expected Orochimaru to demand extra compensation this actually made him more trustworthy. However, he still had to maintain control. "I'll give you three more. Don't push your luck."
"That's far from enough. This isn't for personal gain Edo Tensei requires live sacrifices, and the compatibility between the soul and the vessel affects the resurrected's strength. I've noticed White Zetsu is particularly suited as a sacrifice."
Orochimaru secretly noted that White Zetsu also seemed like a perfect vessel for his own immortality experiments. However, there weren't enough samples for reckless trials yet this was a good opportunity to obtain more.
Obito stared into Orochimaru's eyes with his Sharingan, detecting no deceit. At this moment, Orochimaru looked every bit like an honest scientist. While he had ulterior motives, his words were true.
Between these two, a battle of wits would have been disastrous for Obito he knew that well.
"Fine." Obito agreed and handed over a test tube. "This contains Hashirama's cells. I assume you'll find it useful."
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed with interest. "I didn't expect you to have access to this too."
