Despite his age, Yamamoto's presence was still imposing. A tap of his cane and his powerful aura enveloped the area, forcing Zaraki and Unohana to halt their battle.
Seeing the Head Captain and other captains arrive, Unohana calmly sheathed her sword and stood with her hands folded, exuding a gentle and composed demeanor, as if the battle maniac moments ago wasn't her at all.
As for Zaraki, after glancing at the Head Captain and the others, he looked disappointed and grumbled, "Didn't expect these meddlesome folks to arrive so quickly. I wasn't even warmed up yet."
The situation was straightforward. Learning that Zaraki and Unohana fought over a newly graduated Shinigami from Shin'o Academy, the Head Captain and the other captains couldn't help but glance at Gin.
It was just a brief glance, as Gin was nothing more than a novice Shinigami to them.
With thousands of Shinigami in Seireitei, they wouldn't have even known Gin's name if not for this incident.
"Captain Zaraki of Squad Eleven, you trespassed into Squad Four's recruitment area and initiated a provocation, disrupting Seireitei's order. You will be detained for three months.
Captain Unohana of Squad Four, though forced to respond, your handling of the situation was also inappropriate. You will reflect in seclusion for three days."
After dealing with the disruptive captains, the Head Captain turned his attention to Gin, the unintended catalyst of the conflict.
Since discovering he was in the Bleach universe, Gin's principle was to keep a low profile until he gained absolute power, avoiding attention.
However, after this incident, Gin realized that no matter how much he wanted to stay unnoticed, he would become a topic of discussion.
Two captains fighting over a recruit, disregarding Seireitei's rules? Though those familiar with Zaraki and Unohana knew that their fight had little to do with Gin and more to do with their mutual desire for battle.
If either had been replaced by another captain, the fight likely wouldn't have happened.
"As for you... Kyoraku, he'll be assigned to your Squad Eight."
The Head Captain, after a brief glance at Gin, made his decision.
The previously amused Kyoraku's expression froze upon hearing the Head Captain's words.
Every captain present knew that Gin, the Shinigami over whom Unohana and Zaraki fought, was a troublesome hot potato. Whoever took him in would be in for a rough time.
It's not that Gin himself had issues, but with Unohana and Zaraki fighting over him, anyone who took him in would be risking the ire of two battle-hungry captains.
