I looked at the timer and saw quite a bit of time left until the one hour mark. So I decided to take a look at the equipment shop. equipment shop is going to be the most important thing in my system because only through equips, I can increase my states. there was no other way to increase them other then that. well excluding training...
I opened the equipment shop and found two options there-
- State Equipments
- Physical Equipments
I looked through both of them and quickly figured out what these two were.
First, State equipments were the equipments I could buy in the game. these equipments were invisible from the hero and would only boost the state of the hero.
The original game had these equipments in their shop for us, players, to buy. These were the equipments I originally wanted to be added in the system.
Then the Physical Equipments, these were equipments used by heroes in game. for example, Alpha uses a staff and players can't change that staff to something else. it was a permanent weapon forr Alpha. and this weapon, with many other weapons and equipments were in the physical equipments section.
I didn't expect these equipments to be added to the system as well when I said to add equipments but whatever. it was an unexpected boon but a welcoming one.
There were many other equipments in this shop some of them, I didn't even knew of existence. and there were a few as well that made me want to buy them immediately like the Ruyi Jingu Bang, Sun's staff that could increase its size however much it was required. Sun was after all inspired by Sun Wukong so the weapon was also the same.
unfortunately, I couldn't take any of them since even the cheapest weapon costed 10,000 gold. And I had none...
I quickly closed that physical equipments shop or else it would make me depressed. If I can't buy such nice Equipments even though they are right in front of my face, How would I feel?
I opened the state equipments section after that and this time the prices weren't that high. Still, the cheapest on the store would still cost me 200 gold. I had 300 gold right now so I could buy that, or maybe save it?
Thinking for a bit, I decided to use it as well and get myself some defence. I looked through the items that were on the shop which I could buy in 300 gold.
If I wanted defence, there was only one equipment that I could take.
Leather Jerkin: Gives 14 Defence.
Gold: 220
I could have also taken a damage equipment but I didn't really need it. the damage equipment would have increased my damage by 15, more then doubling my damage but I am going to rely on my skill for damage anyway so I just think defence is going to be it.
there were also equipments for magic attack power and magic defence which was shinsu attack power and defence in the tower but I didn't take thoose. I knew I had to climb the tower from the first floor and before around floor 3 to 5, there wouldn't be too many people who could use shinsu so I didn't take that.
As soon as I brought that, my timer rang, giving me the signal that it was finally time to open the gates.
There were no gates around though but I had been told that I had to wish to climb the tower, only then tower will reveal it's gates. I wasn't sure what he meant but I had no other choice right now. there was no way to ask him what he meant before after all.
I closed my eyes, though I didn't really know what I had to think so I was going to think about everything I think could make the tower appear.
I thought of wanting to climb the tower. I imagined the ginormous and glorious gates of the tower and of the epic adventure that I am going to start, all of which made me slightly excited. I imagined baam, Urek, and all the other people in the tower and...What else was there? Maybe the giant fish baam fought on the first floor?
When my thoughts wondered in that direction, I lost focus and chuckled. but my chuckle ended when I saw a gate appeare in front of me.
Gigantic, Glorious, Golden gate...that was what I imagined...And in front of me stood a wooden gate. it looked old and dusty. I just knew that even a slight movement in the gate would result in the creaking noise that appears from old gates.
I scratched my eyebrows as I looked at this gate, then I looked around me. Maybe the original gate would appear somewhere else? But there was nothing.
I thought of the old man, who said he will help me not find out that I am an irregular. was this gate his doing? looking at the gate, I didn't know if I wanted to go through it or not but then I shook my head.
A god has summoned this...gate, so I shouldn't worry, Right?
I walked up to the gate and placed one of my hand on it. I immediately felt the dust that had accumulated on it and wanted to let go but decided to push through. I pushed the gate with one hand but it didn't budge. I put my second hand and had to push with all my might and only then it opened.
as the gate slowly opened, light filled the entire cave. as if sun had decided to decent on the earth, the light was so strong that nothing can be seen in the cave other then that briliant light.
I couldn't open my eyes as the light just hurt my eyes. I didn't know when it was going to stop so I just decided to stop standing around and move through the gate so to get rid of this light.
I took a step inside the gate but my foot stumbled onto something and I fell inside the gate face first.
