"Dwayne?" Maki's light voice shook Dwayne out of his stupor.
Dwayne was so surprised he unknowingly grab a spoon and held it close to his cheek, making him look like he's stealing food.
Maki had a hard time suppressing a smile curling from her lips.
"What were you doing?"
Dwayne blinked in confusion. He followed her gaze and saw the spoon beside his face. His curl bounced in panic as he hurriedly stuff it back to the countertop. He turn to Maki and shake his head.
"I don't think there will be more customers coming in tonight. Let me teach you how to do the rest of the drinks."
"Okay!"
When it was midnight, Dwayne said his goodbyes to Ryan and Maki. It seemed their house is at the second floor of the cafe, making it even more convenient for them.
As Dwayne made his way to the bike, a familiar car was parked at the intersection ahead. The car was very familiar. As he searched his memory, he remembered it was the same car that scary man drove!
