Cassian's heart pounded in his chest as Dorian leaned in even closer, his breath ghosting against his cheek. The heat between them was unbearable, suffocating. Dorian's smirk was infuriatingly smug, as if he was enjoying every second of Cassian's mortification.
"Why so tense, my dear?" Dorian purred, tilting his head slightly. His lips were dangerously close to Cassian's ear now. "You were quite enthusiastic just a moment ago."
Cassian wanted to scream.
His body was still against the wall, trapped, with nowhere to escape. Dorian's presence was overwhelming. His scent was a mix of something dark and intoxicating, wrapping around him.
"I wasn't-" Cassian started, but Dorian reached up and lazily twirled a lock of his hair between his fingers.
"Hm. Soft," Dorian murmured, more to himself than anything.
Cassian shuddered.
"Y-You—"
Dorian leaned in, pressing his lips just beside Cassian's ear, his voice dropping to a sinful whisper.
