"Now now, I haven't said to start yet." Came the voice from behind him which almost made Deidara jump. Taking a big leap he made distance only to see the boy he thought he had turned to ash was standing there with a smile on his face.
It was Shika and he was there without even a single scratch on his body. Grinning at Deidara happily.
"You… you, how did you get out of there." Deidara stuttered, he himself saw Shika getting blasted into nothingness. But soon he also regained his composure seeing as well.
After all in the shinobi world, deception is also an art, the kind of art which makes a shinobi very dangerous if he masters it to the extreme.
"Sorry can't say, trade secret. But you are free to come and find out if you wanna." Shika still had that grin on his face making Deidara furious.
"Fine, let's see what you got. Kiri shinobi." Shouted Deidara as he took out clay in his hand and the mouth in his palms, pretty strange but he had a mouth in his hand, and started to chew on the clay.
"Kiri ?" Shika thought in confusion, he was of course aware of that little quirk Deidara had.
Soon Deidara was ready and from his hand came out multiple exploding clay spiders which started to move towards Shika.
Shika didn't panic, he waited until those spiders were close to him before taking a stand.
'Water Style, Revolving Heaven.'
Channeling Max Elephant's water around him he started to rotate at blinding speed, just like Byakugan, his Rinnegan was helping him keep tabs on what was going on around him.
Just as those spiders were about to spawn all over him and explode, he was engulfed in a rotating shield of water from all sides making inclosed when the explosion took place.
These explosions were small in nature, and Shika's curse energy powered water shield was strong enough to stop any blast effect from reaching him.
"Water style huh, it won't save you." Seeing Shika use water style, not even recognizing the style of attack he was now sure that Shika was a Kiri Shinobi.
Shika though was still calm, waiting for Deidara's next attack.
Deidara too didn't wait too long he took out clay from his pouch and his hands started munching on it. When that clay was vomited out, the clay took a deformed humanoid form.
They looked very similar to white Zetsu but just not as real as humans in this regard. Unlike white Zetsu, these here were obviously puppets.
But as long as once increase numbers of certain beings, even if they are mere ants, they could be dangerous.
Let alone some clay puppets which are made to kill and explode.
All the clay dolls rush at Shika with fast speed, surrounding him first to block any of his escape sites.
However, Shika who had Rinnegan and Sharingan, something like this was no problem, he took out a smoke bomb and made a smoke screen just before the puppets reached him and explode.
The next movement the place he was standing was blasted into smithereens. Just as Deidara was waiting for the explosion site to clear out to see the result of his handy work, he again heard the sound of the boy behind him.
"That sure was dangerous, you should control how much firepower you use friend." Came Shika's voice making Deidra grit his teeth but before even he turned around and sent some more of his bombs towards Shika, he saw multiple papers falling from above.
His eyes quickly accessed what they were, they were the exploding tags, all around him.
*BOOMM…
Now it was Shika's turn to see how his explosion turned out.
'A quick replacement with a clone I had around was really a good idea.' Shika smiled to himself, that is why he remember always getting nagged by others that preparation is a Shinobi's best friend after deception.
Not only he but both Suigetsu and Haku already have prepared for this fight to the point that there won't be anything which surprises either of them coming out of Deidara or Sasori.
They were completely ready to beat them.
"Hahah, do you really think that you can harm me with an explosion ?" Soon Deidara's voice came from the explosion side, when the smoke cleared he was seen in the embrace of a giant clay dragon which completely protected him from the explosion. The dragon was big, big enough that it would easily tower over even the likes of Mahoraga.
"Well not exactly, I just wanted to see how my new explosion tags, took me some time to research them.
Do you know that they are up to 30% more economical with up to a 15% improvement in performance when compared to your normal exploding tags you get in the market?" Shika didn't look surprised seeing Deidara completely fine, in fact, he was expecting that, he rather talked about the exploding tags which he used, he really was proud of them.
"Economical…HUh…
Art has no price." Shouted Deidara in his own strange delusion and form handsign, making the clay dragon protecting him move and attack Shika.
The multiple-fold tail of the dragon sunk a little as he turned his own body into a weapon clay and shot a miniature dragon at Shika.
'Convergence…' Shika didn't let the dragon come toward him this time around, he quickly clapped his hands and from the tip of his fingers came out a powerful water jet which was capable of even cutting iron, let alone a clay dragon.
Deidara's miniature dragon was cut into two before it exploded. Waterstyle doesn't have that great effect against Earth-style jutsu but it being water, it can still suppress the explosive nature of Deidara's jutsu.
"Haha, again again.." Deidara laughed and the dragon behind him laughed more of his strange exploding clay creations at Shika.
Multiple blasts took place simultaneously, making explosions after explosions. This time the attack was so lethal that Deidara was sure that the attack worked, but then he felt that something was wrong.
Ever since he was growing up, he has been fascinated by explosions, it is safe to say that Deidara knew explosions just as much as Naruto knew his Ramen.
So when this time he felt this explosion happening in front of him, he felt that something was wrong. He could feel that the explosions were different somehow.
So he immediately stopped the onslaught of explosions and looked around to see the difference, only to find that it was an illusion.
Though the explosions which were taking place were fine but the environment around him wasn't.
Turn it he was under a Genjutsu. His bombs were never targeting Shika ever, he was detonating his bombs at an illusion.
"Genjutsu." Deidara's eyes widen seeing this. He had a very similar experience back when he fought with Itachi, and since then he has always been aware of people around him who can use Genjutsu.
However, he always believed that he fell into Itachi's Genjutsu becuase Itachi is a Uchiha, that he had a Shraingan.
He turned back to the boy who was still standing there with his hand folded looking at him with a smile on his face.
Deidara can't help but look into Shika's eyes, they were black, normal like most, not the Sharingan he was expecting.
This was true, Shika didn't use Sharingan this time, Genjutsu can be us in many different ways, and Sharingan is just one of those ways.
"Alright, my turn," Shika said, he was getting tired of just dodging attacks but not attacking himself.
Taking out a scroll he took out a giant shuriken from inside, and with a powerful swing he threw the giant shuriken at Deidara.
Deidara didn't even bat two eyes at it, this attack was too easy to dodge for a shinobi of his level but the next second Shika completed forming a hand sign and the Fuma Shuriken multiplied into multiple shurikens, all resin at Deidara.
'Multiple Shadow Shuriken Technique.' This was the technique he copied from the Third Hokage. At lower levels, this technique was really powerful.
Deidara on flight commanded his clay dragon to act as a shield once again, shielding him from the upcoming barrage of Shurikens.
The moment the barrage ended, he released a white fluid from his hand which ended up transforming into thousands of small balls which later turned out to be slightly bigger variations of his earlier used exploding clay spiders.
All the Spiders rush at Shika.
At first, Shika just wanted to use Revolving Heaven again to defend against these attacks but he soon realized that this attack was slightly different. So instead of his earlier approach, he decided to use one of his hidden cards and dodge using one of his Rinnegan Ability, Temporal Revine, and his instincts were dead on.
When the spiders came to the place he was earlier he saw the explosions this time were almost twice or three times as before, but the real deal was their quantity.
When all of them exploded together he saw the entire area light up, making even him take a step back seeing how much gun power was in this attack.
"Tsk, good thing I didn't stay there…"
