The bedroom door was quietly pushed open with a very gentle motion.
Shen Li knew that Huo Siyu had entered, as she could hardly hear any footsteps.
Sharing the bed wasn't new for them, but for some reason, Shen Li suddenly became nervous.
The corner of the comforter was lifted, and she could feel Huo Siyu's body slide in, as she instinctively held her breath and closed her eyes, pretending to sleep, though her heart was pounding fiercely.
Let Huo Siyu think she was asleep, she thought. She was already very tired today, so she might as well go with it.
But inside... she seemed to be anticipating something.
"Asleep yet?" Huo Siyu whispered, right beside her ear.
Shen Li instinctively clenched her eyes shut even tighter, her heart beating even faster as she silently repeated to herself.
