"Here you go, ma'am." Luca set the plate in front of Serena with an air of pride. "Taste this and tell me—does it beat the Japanese omelette I made for you before, or is it worse?"
Serena's eyes flickered between Luca's expectant expression and the neatly rolled omelette on the plate. At first glance, it looked similar to the one she'd tried before, but the aroma was unmistakably different. Even before taking a bite, she could tell it was something she had eaten and probably liked in the past.
"Wait," she said, narrowing her eyes. "Is this the recipe you told me about? The one your friend was supposed to sharedwith you?"
