Pangu and Demon Emperor Qiong Yu were both Primordial Wuji Da Luo Gold Immortals, which is the Demon Emperor Realm that Qiong Yu referred to. When they clashed, the entire void trembled, with spatial rifts continuously appearing and extending in all directions. Within the Chaos Void, an energy storm emerged, and any person or thing entering its range was torn to shreds.
During the combat, Pangu intentionally led the battlefield away from Wukong's location. Qiong Yu tacitly agreed, as his battle with Pangu was to fight for possession of Wukong. He needed a living Wukong from whom he could extract the secrets of Chaos Fire.
If their encounter resulted in any harm to Wukong, or worse, caused his annihilation, who would he interrogate for the secrets of Chaos Fire?
The two fought on, moving increasingly farther away, until the battlefield was nearing the depths of the starry sky and getting close to the Chaos Ruins.
