At nine in the evening, a figure tiptoed into Gu Yan's hospital room.
"President Gu."
Yan Lan's hands were twisted together, her nervous face scrunched up.
She never expected Gu Yan to seek her out.
"Don't be nervous, I asked you here for help," Gu Yan said.
With an injury on his leg and another stab wound on his stomach, Gu Yan could hardly get up. He pointed to a chair beside him, "Sit down for now."
Yan Lan shivered but obediently sat down.
Gu Yan took a deep breath before asking, "Did you see Su Ye today?"
"Sister Yeye?" Yan Lan shook her head, obediently saying, "The teacher visited Sister Yeye at the hospital today, so I had to stay at the company."
"What about phone calls or messages? Have you been in contact?" asked Gu Yan.
Yan Lan shook her head again: "No."
Gu Yan closed his eyes briefly, then asked, "When I asked you to come here, did you check the ward I mentioned earlier? Was there still someone there?"
