Rain was back at work, and this time, she felt truly energized. Megan's presence brought a sense of normalcy and support that she hadn't realized she missed so much. It reminded her of the good old days at Smith Law Firm.
"Prosecutor Lancaster, this report… something seems off here," Megan commented, pointing to a specific detail in the documents she was reviewing.
Rain smiled warmly. "Ah, I've really missed you, Megan, and your sharp eyes. I'm so glad you're here, working close to me again."
Megan chuckled softly. "It's an honor to be here too!"
Their conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. Marlon entered, carrying a paper bag, but as soon as Rain caught a whiff of his cologne, her stomach churned. She bolted to the restroom and began throwing up.
Megan quickly followed and was at her side, gently stroking her back. "Are you okay?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.
