Kelly woke up a bit late, and Clifford was no longer in bed. She immediately got up to get ready, noticing it was already ten in the morning. She wondered where Clifford had gone, but one thing she was sure of it must have been an emergency for him to leave her alone like that.
Curiosity got the better of her, so she quickly headed to Dr. Ivan's laboratory. Somehow, she had a feeling it might have something to do with her condition, though she was feeling great.
"Have you seen Clifford?" she asked a nurse she passed by, someone she recognized.
"Oh yes, he's in Dr. Ivan's office. I think they're discussing something important since he rushed there," the nurse informed her. Kelly nodded, but for some reason, she felt a twinge of nervousness, wondering what it could be.
"By the way, congratulations, Mrs. White."
Kelly smiled warmly and replied, "Thank you."
