The old man, Fen, deciding to help me hold off the demons who broke out of the stone cave was another act of selflessness I would never forget. It was now surprising how easy it was for these otherworldly beings to infiltrate into our world and possess everything including living things to absorb their power and attack werewolves.
Whatever Marcus and Emilia had done with Ava's assistance was a great damage that would forever go down in history— that is if we ever succeeded in restoring life to normal.
As I heard the old man give a cry of agony, my heart sank but I could not stop and turn back. I was already out of the stone cave running through the marsh of dead trees and withering flowers. I didn't have the time to ascertain the facts, Ava only made mention of an abandoned apartment Emilia and Marcus used as a hideout during the time they were planning to invade the land with their dark magic.
