Ava's POV
When I was finally able to open my eyes, I found myself once again, on the floor, sprawled out and dishevelled. Slowly, my eyes fluttered open as my consciousness began to slowly take in my surroundings. The walls were no longer glistening, the space was not shining any longer, and the floor— a gas rolled out of my throat as the shock hit me like a punch. I was no longer in the ancient chamber.
With an immediate alacrity, I sprang off the floor, my heart pounding ferociously in my chest, as I whirled around trying to understand where the Gatekeeper had sent me.
"Where am I?" I cried out loud. "Where is this place?"
"It is a forest." Hailey's voice answered, instantly I turned around and there she was— standing behind me.
"What forest," I answered.
She shrugged. "We're in Elvercott Forest."
"Elvercott Forest?" My eyes nearly jumped out of their sockets. "You're not serious are you?"
