Samantha looked down at her daughter with a complex mix of pride and concern. "Will she be able to control it? As she gets older?"
She didn't respond right away, which made Samantha extremely worried.
"With proper guidance, yes," Thalia assured her. "The chamber can help with that, providing a safe space for practice and development."
"So we'd need to bring her back here regularly?" Marcus asked.
"That would be optimal," Thalia agreed. "Though not strictly necessary. The chamber can also provide instructional resources that you could use elsewhere."
"Cosmic baby instruction manuals," Kai said with a grin. "Now that's a parenting aid they don't stock at the local store."
The fantastical beach scene around them gradually faded, returning to the more subdued starry chamber they had started in, though the pool remained in the center.
