The moonlit night was cool, and all the courtyard lights had come on.
As the evening breeze blew, waves of barbecue scent freely escaped into the air.
The bonfire flickered with red light, wrapped in swirling smoke.
Jiang Yisheng looked at the roasted goose hanging on the grill and felt a momentary pang of sympathy for the poor bird.
"Wasn't the goose bought to be raised? Why did it suddenly get roasted?" Feng Yi asked curiously, looking at the goose that was nearly done.
"We're heading back to M country tomorrow, and Jiuliang and the others are going to Y country, leaving only the goose here, so my cousin suggested we roast it," Jiang Yisheng explained.
Feng Yi expressed his surprise, "You're going back to M country tomorrow?"
Jiang Yisheng nodded, "Our grandparents have been in the capital for quite some time now, and now that my cousin has recovered his memory, it's time for us to return."
