"What?! No way!"
Not just Big Mom—everyone who knew how powerful she was stood frozen in disbelief after witnessing the scene.
In their understanding, there wasn't a single creature in the world that could withstand Big Mom's full-force attacks. But this… this thing had not only taken her attack—
It had eaten it.
Such a reality-shattering moment short-circuited everyone's minds. They simply couldn't process it.
"It… actually ate it…"
On Marco's back, Whitebeard watched with a darkened expression.
That move from Big Mom—he wouldn't have taken it head-on even at his peak. And yet that monster had devoured it like candy.
Which could only mean one thing—
That thing's strength surpassed even the Four Emperors.
Whitebeard's face was pale with cold sweat.
He recalled a previous battle in the Dragon Ball universe, where a thousand-meter-tall monster casually obliterated warriors who could have killed him.
And now this felt just like that.
"If it's one of those… damn."
His scalp tingled just thinking about it.
"Old man… are we really going?" Marco asked, clearly uneasy as his flying slowed down.
"He's right, this thing's insane. We might be better off staying away," Ace added, his voice tense.
Whitebeard closed his eyes and took a deep breath, steadying himself.
"No. Keep going."
"If we back down now, we'll never be ready when something like this shows up again. We need to seize every opportunity to grow stronger."
He knew exactly how dangerous this was—but what if these monsters became a recurring threat?
He'd rather risk his life now than be powerless later.
That was the heart of a pirate—fortune favored the bold.
Ace and Marco exchanged a look, then nodded. If their captain was determined, they'd follow to the end.
—
Totto Land
Big Mom stood frozen, staring at the massive monster's head, trembling uncontrollably.
"This isn't real… what is this thing?"
She couldn't stop her body from shaking. Her attacks had become food.
Glrrrkkk…
The monstrous head let out a low, guttural laugh. The kind of sound that made your spine crawl and your soul shiver.
Suddenly, its neck extended like a whip—the head lunged straight toward Big Mom.
"Mama! Run! It's going to eat you!!"
Katakuri shouted, his Observation Haki flashing a horrific future in his mind. His expression broke; even he couldn't stay composed.
"Ah!"
Big Mom reacted, trying to move.
But the monster's mouth opened wide—and let out a terrifying roar:
"RAAAAAAAGHHHH!!"
The sonic shockwave that followed shattered everything nearby.
Monsters exploded from the sound alone. Their heads popped like watermelons.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Oven and Perospero's bodies twisted grotesquely, then their heads burst open—leaving headless corpses behind.
Other members of the Charlotte Family suffered the same grisly fate.
"AAAAAHHHHH!!"
Big Mom screamed in agony, clutching her head. It felt like dynamite was going off inside her skull. She couldn't move—couldn't even think.
Then the monster's head reached her—and bit down.
"CHOMP!!"
A gush of blood sprayed from its maw.
One of the Four Emperors—Charlotte Linlin, ruler of Totto Land—was torn in half and devoured.
The monster chewed a few times, then swallowed.
A being who once stood at the peak of the world—reduced to food.
THOOM!!
The Blood Pool stirred again.
Another massive head, identical to the first, emerged—also attached to an impossibly long neck.
Then a third, even larger head pushed its way out. Unlike the others, this one was connected to a colossal body.
The first two heads?
They were this monster's arms.
Its full form revealed a humanoid upper body over 1,000 meters tall, with arms ending in toothy, snarling heads.
Its lower half was a mass of bristling, beast-like hair and gigantic clawed legs.
The titanic monster stood tall in Totto Land, visible even from far-off islands.
"Uhhh… uhhhhh…"
Katakuri dropped to his knees, overwhelmed by fear.
Their strongest—Big Mom—was gone. And this… this thing…
He had no idea how to fight it.
Bloop! Bloop!
Even worse, the Blood Pool kept spawning more giants:
600 meters. 700. 800. 900. Even 1,000.
Twisted beasts with tentacles, scales, multi-limbs, slithering bodies… you name it.
There were over twenty of them.
Katakuri could feel the raw power they emitted—and it was above Big Mom's.
And they were coming for him.
His body trembled uncontrollably.
He had forgotten how to resist.
Sengoku's back—Marine forces
Watching Big Mom's brutal death, Garp and the Admirals wore grim expressions.
"That… that's not even in the same league as Sea Kings," Akainu muttered, breathing heavily.
Even the largest Sea Kings weren't this dangerous. None of them had the power to rival—or eat—a Four Emperor.
"This is insane. These monsters are all stronger than any of the Emperors. If they break free…"
Aokiji's face was pale.
He hadn't meant to raise his voice, but the surrounding Marines had heard him—and panic was spreading.
None of them understood what was happening.
Why were they heading toward an Emperor's territory?
And now monsters stronger than Emperors?
"Vice Admiral! Garp-sama! What the hell is going on?!"
A Vice Admiral asked, stunned.
"You'll understand when we get there," Garp replied calmly.
"You probably wouldn't believe me now anyway."
"But I will say this—prepare yourselves for the fight of your lives. This is something you'll remember forever."
In that moment, Garp didn't feel like a jokester—he felt like a pillar of the world.
An unshakable guardian.
