The sun was high in the sky, hidden behind thick clouds that rolled lazily above the cliffs.

Garuum stood at the front of the army, arms crossed, tail twitching in impatience.
His thick frame towered over the rest, muscles bulging under the armor of hardened beast hide wrapped around his shoulders and chest.
His fangs were bared in what looked like a smile, but really, it was just irritation.
"How long are we supposed to wait here?" he grunted, glancing at the horizon. "It's been three days. Still no sign of humans. Are they really that scared?"
One of his captains stepped forward, a boar-like beast with scars down his snout. "They're cautious. They probably think we'll hit the cities again."
"Let them think whatever they want," Garuum snorted. "By the time they realize we're targeting their resources, we'll already be sitting on them."
