A few minutes later, the entire Fantastic Four squad and Spider-Man arrived at the site. They saw the smoldering crater from the explosion, the bodies of the soldiers scattered about, and Aiden sitting with his dad and a new face beside them.

"Aiden! You're back!" Peter called out, dropping down from a web. "You saved your dad too… And uh, who's that?"

"This is Valeria," Aiden said casually. "She'll be staying in our world from now on. Now—can someone please tell me what the hell these people were doing here?"

Reed stepped forward, but as he did, Valeria tensed. Her eyes widened, but she stayed quiet.

"Aiden," Reed began, "those were SHIELD operatives. The world's been on edge preparing for Galactus—he's been spotted at the edge of the solar system. His Herald has already made some moves. We had to assist the Avengers in tracking him, so SHIELD suggested guarding your gate while we were gone. But now… what happened? Why are they all dead?"

Aiden's voice hardened. "They just pounced on me and exploded, Reed. That's what happened. I've been through hell in that other world, and now I come back to this? What if they had shut the portal? You could've left me stranded—on a messed-up world, no offense Val…"

"None taken," Valeria said softly. "Our world is… yeah. It's bad."

Aiden smirked at her then turned back to Reed and Sue. "Actually… this is as good a time as any." He gestured toward Valeria. "Reed, Sue… meet Valeria. I figure you know how alternate universes work, so I won't explain. But… her full name is Valeria Richards. In her world, she was your daughter. Well… was. In that world, you two were dead."

Reed's eyes widened. He turned to Valeria, who lowered her head shyly, then took a breath and stepped forward. "Hi… Dad. Mom. Sorry, that might be weird for you both. I mean—I'm not even really your daughter. I just… I'm glad I got to see you, even if you're a different version of the ones I lost."

Reed gave her a gentle smile. "It's okay. You can feel that way."

Sue added, "Valeria, right? Reed… did you hear that?" She turned to him with misty eyes. "We always talked about kids. And Valeria—that was the name we liked if we had a girl. I guess… in some world, it did happen."

"I didn't get to know you much," Valeria said, her voice trembling. "I only recognized you from photos you left behind. You died as heroes… saving the world. I know it sounds like I'm talking about a memory, but really—I'm just glad I could see you. Even if I don't belong here."

Sue didn't hesitate. She stepped forward and pulled Valeria into a warm hug. "It's okay. Even if you're not our real daughter, you can treat us like your parents—if you want to."

She looked back at Reed, giving him a nudge. Reed stepped in and joined the hug, arms wrapping around Val as tears welled in her eyes.

Aiden watched quietly as the family reunion unfolded. Jason stood by, arms crossed but a faint smile on his face.

Later, Aiden and Reed sat aside, discussing everything that had happened—meanwhile, Valeria was surrounded by Ben and Johnny, who bombarded her with questions.

"Uncle Johnny! That has a nice ring to it, doesn't it, sis?" Johnny said with a grin.

"You can call me Uncle Ben," Ben added. "I might look scary, but I'll protect you anytime you need."

Valeria giggled. "You don't look scary at all, Uncle Ben. I loved hearing stories about you. And you too, Uncle Johnny… though, I heard you were reckless."

Johnny raised a brow, clearly enjoying the title. "Me? Reckless? Nahhh—okay maybe just a little."

....

The soft hum of the Quinjet's engines filled the cabin as they soared across the sky, returning to New York. Everyone was buckled in, the tension from the previous battle behind them—at least for now.

Aiden had just finished recounting what happened in the other world. From his clash with Thor, to the dimensional storm, to meeting Valeria. Everyone listened in silence, processing the chaos he had gone through.

Reed leaned forward, arms crossed. "That's… quite the experience, Aiden. But while you were gone, things haven't been quiet here either. Earth's been preparing."

"Preparing?" Aiden raised a brow.

"For Galactus," Reed continued. "He's been spotted on the outer edge of the solar system. We don't have much data, but from what we know, he's not a being we can reason with. He devours worlds. Planets, Aiden. His presence alone warps reality."

Sue added gently, "SHIELD, Wakanda, Kamar-Taj, even Atlantis… everyone's been pulling together resources. Reed and I have been working closely with Stark and Banner. We're building a coalition. A team. Of the strongest heroes Earth can offer."

Then came the pitch.

Reed turned toward him with a serious expression. "We want you to join us, Aiden. We've seen what you can do. We need you."

Aiden leaned back, eyes scanning the cabin. His gaze settled on Peter.

"You joined this circus too, Pete?"

Spider-Man shrugged, his mask pulled halfway up as he munched on a protein bar. "Yeah, I did. Can't exactly sit out when a cosmic vacuum cleaner is heading our way, right?"

Aiden exhaled through his nose, a faint smirk on his lips. "Guess that makes it harder to say no, huh?"

Then he looked at Reed again. "Fine. I'll join you. I've got… a slight idea on how to deal with both the Silver Surfer and Galactus. Nothing solid yet, but I'm working on it."

Everyone seemed relieved—but Aiden wasn't finished.

"However," he added, holding up a finger. "Before anything, I'm visiting my mom and sister. And don't bother asking, Reed—I'm not telling you, or anyone, where they are. SHIELD lost my trust today. Until I meet their leader face to face, consider my membership… pending."

Jason nodded approvingly beside him, and Reed respected the boundary with a slow nod of his own.

Then Aiden turned his head, looking at the girl beside him. "What about you, Val? You staying with me, or going with your dad? Well… not dad but, you know."

Valeria smiled softly. "I'll stay with you, Aiden."

"Aight, good." He leaned back in his seat, folding his arms. "I thought you were stolen from me or something."

Val snorted and leaned her head against his shoulder. "Not happening."

There was a beat of silence, then Johnny whispered, not very quietly, "Okay, that's adorable."

Ben grinned. "Kid's smooth. Real smooth."

Everyone's eyes were on the pair. Aiden glanced around, catching the looks.

"What?" he said with a perfectly straight face

.....

They didn't need guidance. Aiden had memorized every inch of this place—the twists and hidden paths carved into the underground haven. As they reached the small home nestled deeper within the Morlock tunnels, Aiden quietly pushed open the door.

The moment he stepped inside, the silence shattered.

"AIDEN!!"

"BIG BROTHER!!!"

Before he could say a word, Lucy and Evelyn tackled him in a flurry of movement, hugging him like their lives depended on it. His mother's arms wrapped tightly around his neck, her cheek pressed against his as Evelyn clung to his chest like a little koala. Aiden stumbled back slightly, laughing softly, but his eyes were already misting over.

"I missed you so much," Lucy whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "I was so scared…"

Then she looked up—frozen, breath caught—her eyes locked on Jason.

"…Jason?" she said, her voice cracking.

Jason looked like he couldn't breathe.

"…Lucy."

He barely had a second before she lunged at him, pulling him into a desperate, soul-deep embrace. Evelyn, still clinging to Aiden, gasped and looked over with wide eyes.

"Daddy!?"

Jason dropped to one knee and scooped her up as Lucy held him close. Evelyn stared at his face with wonder and then wrapped her tiny arms around his neck. "Daddy came back…"

Jason smiled through the moisture in his eyes. "I told you I would, didn't I?"

Lucy was crying freely now, gripping him tighter than she had in years. "I thought I'd lost you forever," she whispered, burying her face into his chest. "I couldn't sleep… I couldn't breathe thinking you were—"

"Hey," Jason said gently, placing a hand on her cheek. "I'm home now."

The family sat together for a while—no words needed. Just warmth, contact, and the quiet reassurance that after so much chaos, they were together again.

Valeria stood quietly by the doorway, giving them the moment. Aiden stepped beside her, arms folded, eyes fixed on his reunited family.

"Didn't think he'd cry," he said softly.

"He's been holding that in for a while," Valeria replied, just as softly. "He really missed them."

After a long while, Lucy finally pulled back, sniffling and wiping her tears. Then she turned to Aiden, gently swatting his arm. "And you—you went chasing your father through another world?!"

Aiden blinked. "Wait—how do you know that!?"

"Peter told me everything!" Lucy said, flustered. "He came by not long after it happened—he's been visiting! Bringing groceries, checking in on us! He didn't want me to worry, but when you were gone for so long, he explained what happened and said he'd keep trying to reach you."

Aiden stared, a bit stunned. "…Peter's been coming here?"

"Yes! That sweet boy even brought Evelyn her favorite cereal and—"

"Guess I'll have to thank him in a special way," Aiden muttered with a smirk.

Then, clearing his throat, he stepped slightly aside and motioned toward the doorway. "Oh, right—uh, there's someone I want you to meet."

Valeria stepped forward, offering a small wave and a warm smile. Lucy blinked, curious, while Evelyn tilted her head adorably.

"This is Valeria," Aiden continued. "She'll be staying with us for a while. She's… a friend." He paused awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. "She's the one who protected Dad while we were stuck in that other world."

Jason smirked knowingly. "A friend, huh?"

Aiden looked over, clearly caught. "Dad—"

Jason turned to Lucy with a grin. "She's his girlfriend."

Lucy's eyebrows shot up in surprise, then turned to delight. "Oh?"
