Endless divine power. Boundless oppression.
At this very moment, it seemed as if the entire mythical world would be swept away. From the end of the Titan War until now, this was the first and only time Hades had fully unleashed his divine power without holding anything back. Yet, even then, was this truly the full extent of Hades' power? Who could really know?
Boundless divine power, endless oppression.
The overwhelming power seemed to transform into a black mist, gradually spreading from the far northern reaches, covering the mortal realm, and even the heavens, the seas, and the astral realm. All were inevitably touched.
Zeus and Poseidon.
The two God-Kings instantly took action, unleashing their terrifying divine powers at the same time. They could tolerate anything, but not Hades' arrogance and disdain.
What was he trying to do?
Yet, no matter what they did, even though it was two against one, Hades' divine power still suppressed both of them. The black mist continued to uncontrollably spread into the heavens and the seas. As for the astral realm? That was beyond question!
Even though the mist hadn't completely covered the heavens and the seas, only affecting a small portion, it was more than enough. What did this prove? The answer was obvious.
In this small clash, Hades had single-handedly suppressed Zeus and Poseidon.
"..."
Poseidon gave the black mist a cold glance, then withdrew his divine power and returned to Atlantis. Zeus, surrounded by endless lightning, burned with rage. Yet, he also knew that a battle was impossible. His eyes flashed with cold light as he spoke in an icy tone, "Hades, this isn't the end. This is just the beginning."
The retreat of the two God-Kings brought this clash to a close. The overwhelming black mist gradually vanished without a trace. Hades' divine power slowly faded, and everything returned to its usual calm.
But the more peaceful it seemed, the more terrifying it felt.
Hades, this King of the Underworld, one of the three God-Kings of the third generation, had, with his power alone, suppressed both the Sky Emperor and the Sea Emperor.
So then…
What would happen next?
Fear! Terror! The gods all felt an overwhelming fear. Just how terrifying was this being? Was this the fearsome King of the Underworld?
At that moment, the gods finally understood. The rules governing the three God-Kings perhaps only existed because Hades had no desire to become the one supreme ruler. Otherwise, the existence of the three God-Kings might never have been a reality.
This thought left the gods in stunned silence, but the more they thought about it, the more it seemed true.
Terrifying!
This was the impression Hades' display of power left on everyone. It was simply too terrifying. How could such an invincible existence be so terrifying?
Unimaginable. Beyond comprehension.
Some might even say…
Sometimes, just thinking about it was enough to understand how fearsome he truly was.
Hades returned to the Underworld, and after making the necessary arrangements, Sparta also returned to the Underworld.
At that moment, the gods seemed to see the image of the incomparable Titan King, Kronos, in Hades. Just thinking about it was enough to bring to mind that invincible figure.
"The King of the Underworld..."
"I feel like I saw a familiar figure!"
"Ah!"
"I feel like I saw it too."
"Three God-Kings? Are there really three?"
"Who knows…"
The gods cast their gazes toward the far northern lands of the mortal realm, falling into silence once again.
Some things…
Just thinking about them was enough to send chills down one's spine. Unmatched divine power, as if it would swallow everything whole.
What was this?
No one knew!
But!
Everyone understood one thing: Hades, though one of the three God-Kings, was far more terrifying than the other two.
The three may not even be on the same level.
In other words, this unparalleled King of the Underworld possessed the power to become the next Titan King.
"Do you think…"
"How far is Hades from becoming the Titan King?"
"I don't know! I have no idea!"
"But…"
"In my opinion, it's only a matter of time before he reaches that level of terror."
"Maybe…"
The gods couldn't help but wonder: was another invincible being about to emerge? How terrifying would that be? Fearful enough to make one tremble, to feel terror?
It was unimaginable.
Incomprehensible.
But!
One thing was clear: at this moment, the gods truly realized that the idea of the three God-Kings jointly ruling the third generation pantheon was entirely false.
The King of the Underworld!
His terrifying display of power was a declaration to all the gods, showing what kind of being he truly was.
And likewise!
Why was the King of the Underworld so terrifying? Anyone with a bit of sense understood clearly. He was telling everyone: though I may not act often, if you think for a moment that I will not act at all, then you are gravely mistaken.
Hades, with his immense power, warned all the gods who harbored ambitions toward the Underworld:
You'd best behave!
And this!
Clearly had a tremendous effect. The gods ultimately fell silent. They hadn't expected the King of the Underworld to be so fearsome, but after their silence, they understood much more.
This being!
Would never show mercy. The terrifying strength Hades displayed told all the gods who truly ruled this world. Who was the most terrifying of the God-Kings?
And!
Here, what price would be paid?
Hades warned every god who dared to spy on him. Meanwhile, in stark contrast to the gods' fear, the Underworld was ablaze with joy. Every god of the Underworld was filled with pride. This was the pride of being an Underworld god!
Did you see?
This was the confidence of being an Underworld god!
