Gazing out, the dark city once again lit up, as if the lifeless corpse had been reinvigorated with new life.
The streets and towers were illuminated by wall lamps, which turned out to be hidden light emitters in the paintings and decorations on the walls. They shone from various angles, making this ancient ruin incredibly dazzling and bright.
Farosa had originally thought that the Old Ones were a technical race that lacked any sense of entertainment, but now she realized she had been greatly mistaken, as the glowing lights and colors throughout the city represented their highly refined artistic accomplishments.
The melted water brought electricity, turning the streets into golden milky ways and the walls into silvery holy barriers. The technology museum at the central pinnacle was blazingly lit, making the entire city as bright as day.
By comparison, even the markers set by Lila seemed to lose their luster.
