"Don't be naughty! There are cars around!" Ruby warned, her hands on her hips as she gave them both a sharp look.
Her voice wasn't loud, but it had that tone...the one that made them freeze like statues.
Milo immediately stopped giggling.
Karl dropped Milo's cheek mid-squish.
And without a word, the two of them turned and ran behind Adrian and Julian, as if hiding behind them would protect them.
Adrian didn't move. He simply stood there like a wall.
Julian looked mildly concerned as the two crashed into his back.
Then, without warning—
"Move!" Karl whispered, pushing Milo aside.
"No, you move!" Milo pushed back.
"You're too close to brother Adi"
"So are you!"
They started shoving each other quietly, as if that made it less noticeable. One trying to hide better than the other, elbows flying, both whispering threats under their breath.
Ruby sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
What a naughty, childish husbands she had…
