Today, Ruby had to go to the set. She had editing work lined up, and there was something else in her mind too...she wanted to ask Director Sylvia if there were any small roles open. If there was even the tiniest chance… maybe Karl could finally get a taste of real acting life. Some real experience on set.
As she entered, the familiar sound of camera clicks, crew voices, and light chatter filled the air.
Director Sylvia assistant spotted her first and smiled, standing near the monitor. "You're here!"
"Yeah," Ruby replied with a small nod, walking in confidently. She greeted a few of the other crew members—some waved back, some were too busy to notice but it didn't bother her. She was here to work.
She walked over to the editing corner where Vera was already waiting.
"Let's get started," Ruby said calmly, sitting beside her.
The two of them began checking through the footage...cutting, arranging, adjusting colors and sound.
