Dong Wanru squatted at the center of the Flame Forest, staring at a huge pit created by the extraction of the Earth Flame Crystal, which caused her to sink into her own world.
The reason Dong Wanru developed feelings for Ye Chenfeng so quickly was because before Ye Chenfeng arrived at Flaming Sun Island, she had always been alone, suffering exclusion and ridicule from the villagers. The nights alone were what Dong Wanru feared the most, though she always appeared quite optimistic on the surface.
