On the third day, while Ye Feng was still sleeping, a sharp voice echoed outside his tent.
"Ye Feng, come out!"
Ye Feng groggily put on his clothes and stepped out. The teachers and students of Shrek Academy also got dressed and exited their tents. Among them were Liu Erlong, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun, Oscar, Jiang Zhu, Ning Rongrong, and others.
In front of Shrek Academy's resting area stood four people—two adults and two younger ones. The younger ones were Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er, standing behind the adults.
Ye Feng's gaze landed on the two adults, a man and a woman. The man stood at 1.8 meters tall, while the woman was slightly shorter at 1.7 meters. The man was handsome, and the woman was beautiful. Their eyebrows, noses, and facial features bore a strong resemblance to Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er.
"Oh, here they come," Liu Erlong remarked with a knowing smile, unsurprised.
"Liu Erlong, you really did a good one this time. We'll settle this later," the woman shot Liu Erlong a sharp glare before shifting her gaze to the gathered Shrek Academy students. "Who among you is Ye Feng?"
"Me," Ye Feng answered, stepping forward. He had already guessed the identity of these people.
"Dad, Mom, why don't we just let this go?" Shui Bing'er pleaded in a soft voice.
Dad? Mom?
The Shrek students widened their eyes in realization. These were Shui Bing'er's parents.
Ye Feng's expression remained calm, a flicker of understanding flashing in his eyes.
Xiao Wu's eyes gleamed as she murmured, "Brother, you're in trouble now."
Ning Rongrong quickly connected the dots.
During the preliminaries, Ye Feng had boldly declared in public that Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er were his future wives. That was a direct hit on their reputations—both of them. Naturally, as parents, Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er's mother and father wouldn't just let this slide.
They had come here for an explanation.
And in the world of spirit masters, when words weren't enough, there was only one way to resolve disputes—combat.
It was clear that Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er's parents intended to beat Ye Feng up to prove their daughters' innocence.
Ning Rongrong, worried for Ye Feng's safety, had already slipped away to call for help.
"You two don't need to say anything. Your parents will handle this," Shui Bing'er's father said sternly before turning back to Ye Feng, his expression dark. "Ye Feng, this is a military camp. Do you dare step outside with me?"
Ye Feng chuckled. "Of course, Uncle. Since you asked so nicely, let's go."
Shui Bing'er's parents gave him a cold look before silently leading the way out of the camp.
Liu Erlong watched them leave, then turned to Ye Feng. "Shui Bing'er's father is Shui Ruohan. His spirit is the Tianshui Ice Luan. Her mother is Shui Xin'er, and her spirit is the Frost Eagle. Both are control-type spirit masters. The last time I met them, they were only Spirit Emperors. That was a few years ago, so I'd guess they've broken through to the Spirit Saint realm by now."
"Got it," Ye Feng nodded.
"Ye Feng, I could only help you with chasing Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er," Liu Erlong sighed, rubbing her pregnant belly.
"It's fine. I'll handle the rest," Ye Feng reassured her with a smile. He reached out and gently touched Liu Erlong's belly. "Just stay back later. Don't get hurt—you have to take care of our baby."
Liu Erlong's eyes softened with happiness. "I will."
Ye Feng wasn't just Shrek Academy's strongest student. He was also a key figure in Shrek Real Estate, the company Flender had founded, and the backbone of Shrek Academy's team in this competition. Knowing that he was in trouble, all the teachers and students followed him out of the Heaven Dou Royal Hunting Ground.
As they reached an open area, Shui Ruohan glanced back at the crowd and frowned. "Are you planning to gang up on us?"
"Relax, Uncle, we're not," Ye Feng replied casually.
Before the confrontation could begin, an authoritative voice cut through the air.
"Who dares to touch my disciple?!"
A powerful presence descended upon the area.
A figure rode in on a flying sword, his aura overwhelming. Following closely behind him was Ning Rongrong.
The man was Chen Xin.
"Chen Xin," Shui Ruohan muttered.
"Chen Xin," Shui Xin'er echoed, her expression darkening.
Both of them tensed. Even though Chen Xin wasn't using any spirit power, his mere presence exerted enormous pressure.
Women are naturally gentle, but as mothers, they are fierce.
Despite her fear, Shui Xin'er sneered, "Chen Xin, you have quite the disciple."
She was mocking him, implying that Ye Feng was nothing more than a playboy, and by extension, that Chen Xin was a terrible teacher.
Chen Xin's face remained impassive as he calmly replied, "My disciple is excellent. I know that well."
Uh…
Shui Xin'er was momentarily speechless.
Shui Ruohan was also stunned.
Chen Xin's unwavering confidence made them hesitate.
After a brief silence, Shui Ruohan refocused on Ye Feng. "You said you don't plan to gang up on us. Is this what you're relying on? If my wife and I were afraid, we wouldn't have come here."
They had never expected to win this fight.
Their goal wasn't victory—it was to make a statement to the spirit master world.
To publicly declare that their daughters, Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er, were not Ye Feng's future wives.
Even if Chen Xin intervened, they wouldn't back down.
Ye Feng shook his head. "Uncle, I won't let my Master interfere in my personal matters. Let's get started. Are we summoning our spirits now?"
"You want to fight alone?" Shui Ruohan looked at him in surprise.
"Of course. A man takes responsibility for his own actions. Besides, this is between us."
Ye Feng's eyes flickered toward Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er.
Between us?
Shui Ruohan almost wanted to praise Ye Feng.
Despite his flirtatious nature, the boy had guts.
However, his words continued to push the narrative that Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er were his.
And now, with students and teachers from other academies watching, the situation was only escalating.
Shui Xin'er's expression hardened. She stepped forward and said coldly, "Although you're young, you carry yourself like an adult. If you don't use any outside help, then neither will we. Let's set a simple condition—if you can last an incense stick of time against me, my husband and I will drop this matter. How about it?"
"No," Ye Feng shook his head.
"Are you scared?" Shui Xin'er frowned.
Ye Feng grinned. "You misunderstood, Aunt. What I mean is… an incense stick of time is too short. That wouldn't be fun at all."
His smile turned sharp.
"If we're going to fight, then let's make it interesting."
