The second volume is over, as usual, let me summarize it.
The length of this volume is OK, and it is basically a two-line structure. I am generally satisfied with it.
There are only some minor problems in the rhythm, such as the second time Murphy discovered the Auror investigation and the pressure from the Muggle society. In fact, it was originally intended to be two small crises to create a sense of step-by-step pressure. But some of them are too repetitive and feel stereotyped, which may cause aesthetic fatigue. I am not happy to write them, so I merged them.
Because of this merger, the order of part of my plot has changed. The insertion of the agent's small branch line is a bit abrupt and relieves the overall tension.
However, because the climax of the confrontation has not yet begun, the impact is not great.
About the plot.
The path that the protagonist wants to take is contrary to the overall thinking of the wizards. He is a person who wants to break the order of the wizarding world, so it is inevitable that he stands on the opposite side of the Aurors.
At the same time, Aurors are different from so-called pure-blood nobles like Malfoy. They uphold justice in their hearts and are actually respectable as enemies of Murphy.
The confrontation between Murphy and Aurors can be seen as a battle of ideas, so I want to portray the Aurors more positively. From their perspective, Murphy is indeed a dark wizard who does everything he can.
Scrimgeour and Kingsley actually have some deviations in their personalities from those in the original book, but firstly, there are not many characters with names and surnames, and there are too few options. Secondly, it can be seen as part of the difference caused by the different timeline from the original book.
But overall, I don't think I have deviated from the essential characteristics of these two characters.
Scrimgeour is serious and rigid, but in the original book, he died to keep Harry's secret. He is a person who is not afraid of sacrifice and power, and he deserves the name of Auror.
I have always liked this character. The complexity of his character makes me feel more attractive than ordinary members of the Order of the Phoenix.
In this volume, he stepped forward and took responsibility for his subordinates when he had no choice, which was a small tribute to his spirit of sacrifice in the original book.
In the original book, Kingsley was more gentle and steady, a more sophisticated character who could give people a sense of calmness, but now he is younger than then. He already has power and talent, but has not yet experienced enough patience and deeper wisdom. The protagonist helped him make up for this lesson.
In the future, he will definitely be a stronger opponent for Murphy on his way forward.
The protagonist is growing, and the enemies are not static.
Although Murphy is the protagonist, the same thing has different meanings to different people.
I hope I can write a story in which the characters act with their own will and beliefs, rather than the so-called cool article in which both enemies and friends are tools. Maybe I am not a teenager anymore, I can no longer feel that kind of joy...
Finally, thank all the book friends for their votes and comments, thank you book friends Ficmastery, jack2021, Project_Traveler, HumptyDumptyDatAss, BLITZ2.
In the next volume, I plan to open some new pictures and make some preparations. The writing method may be different from these two volumes, but please follow it patiently. I will do my best to provide you with a good story.
In addition, there is no question of whether there is a heroine... Well, generally speaking, there is no, but there may be plots that everyone likes.
Thank you all.
