"Now we've got it!" Barty exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
The beast thrashed, struggling to regain its footing, but Alex and Barty seized the opportunity, launching wave after wave of ice toward the creature, encasing it further with each hit. The frost crept up its body, covering its powerful limbs, chest, and finally reaching its neck, locking it in place. The beast let out a final, defiant growl, its breath forming icy clouds as the frost took hold.
But the creature wasn't done yet.
With a roar of pure defiance, it summoned a surge of internal heat, its scales glowing a fierce red as it tried to melt the ice from within. Steam hissed and crackled, the frost melting slightly as the creature fought against its icy prison. For a moment, it seemed like it might break free, its colossal strength pushing back against the freezing power binding it.
But Alex and Barty were ready.
