When they reached the door, Alex knocked firmly. "Jian?" he called out, his voice echoing slightly in the quiet.
The door creaked open just enough for them to see a faint glow from within.
The door slowly opened, revealing Kaye, Jian Gang's maid and now, as Alex already knew, his wife. She stood there, her hand resting on her slightly rounded belly, a calm but welcoming smile on her face.
"Kaye," Alex greeted, nodding at her. He'd known about her pregnancy for a while, but seeing her like this, glowing with the quiet joy of motherhood, still caught him off guard. Yunus, however, was completely taken aback. His eyes widened in shock, glancing between Alex and Kaye as if piecing together the puzzle.
"Jian Gang maid... you're...?" Yunus stammered, his words trailing off as the realization hit him.
Kaye chuckled softly, "Yes, I'm pregnant. Jian and I are expecting." She placed a hand on her stomach gently.
