Alex's gaze shifted from Amelia to Brittany, who was still seated on the throne. He knew what this meant—he'd have to leave Brittany here for a while, and that wasn't something he took lightly. The room grew still for a moment as Alex processed the situation.
Brittany noticed the glance and raised an eyebrow. "Zuberk, huh?" she said with a smirk, breaking the tension. "Don't worry about me. We've got things to take care of here, and I can manage. But don't keep me waiting too long."
Alex sighed, knowing he couldn't delay the inevitable. "I won't be gone long," he assured her. "Just need to handle some matters there."
Amelia gave him a gentle nudge, reminding him of the urgency. Alex nodded and turned toward Brittany once more. "We'll get everything set here first, and then I'll make my way back. But I trust you to keep things in line while I'm gone."
