Attempting to steal a chicken only to end up losing the rice!
Originally intending to seek revenge and remove a hatred, the result turned out to be self-inflicted, lifting a rock only to drop it on one's own foot.
That is obviously even harder to accept than being taken out by the enemy.
After all, if the YF55 had met a stronger opponent and been taken out, one could at least acknowledge being outperformed, the adversary being one notch above.
But...
Being taken out by one's own missile is simply too bizarre to fathom.
Why?
Was it because the two YF55 fighter jets maintained radio silence and didn't activate their IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) systems, resulting in a misfire?
But the question is...
The warship that caused the accident, equipped with air-search radars, phased array radars, fire-control radars, and others, couldn't detect them at all!
